DollarAndADream 3,357
Zach Wants to be Better This just in, the Toronto Legion from the start of the season have been killing the VHL, and rarely ever losing. They stand pat on the top of the league, obviously, and many of their superstars continue to play great hockey. They have a solid core and a record of 32-5-1. Recently, the Legion lost a game in regulation for only the fifth time, and it was against the Cologne Express. They lost that game 4-2, and their captain was not happy. "We lost against Cologne 4-2, and I'm not happy." - Zach Parechkin In that mentioned game, Zach himself had 0 points and was a -1 with 5 shots and 4 hits. He sadly could not muster up a goal for his team, or any points for that matter. -------------------- -------------------- Zach Parechkin himself has been one to watch as of late, because his game has suffered a bit of a slow down. In Parechkin's past 10 games, he has put up a total of 3 goals and 4 assists for a total of 7 points. He was a +4 in plus/minus, with 33 shots and 37 hits. While 7 points in 10 games is decent for any player in the VHL, it has been upsetting for Zach Parechkin. People expect him to be better than that, himself included. In those 10 games, he was held pointless in 4 of them, and only 1 of them was a 2 point outing. The Stockholm Vikings seem to be able to shut him down the most, considering that 4 of those 10 games were against Stockholm where he only had 3 points, with 1 being a goal. The hitting has obviously been continuing for him however, where he had 4 hits in almost every one of those games. Luckily for the captain, the rest of his team has been carrying the load and doing it very well. They have had scoring from all over the place, especially with Max Molholt continuing his push and LeAndre St. Pierre dominating as well. His team has had an average of 3.58 goals per game, and an average of 1.63 goals against per game, both of which are best in the VHL. If Hans Wingate can continue that stellar goaltending, then I expect those statistics to hold. The Legion also have the best penalty kill in the league, sitting at 92%. -------------------- -------------------- Although Parechkin has the most goals on his team with 26, he still is only 4th in team scoring, which says a lot. Max Molholt, LeAndre St. Pierre and Francis York Morgan all have more points than him. One thing is for sure as far as Zach is concerned, and that is that he needs to up his game. "I need to get going. I want to be contributing even more than I am and I want to be a top player in this league. Kudos to my teammates for holding it down, but I want to be better." - Zach Parechkin 3G 4A 7P +4 33SH 37H CowboyinAmerica and Molholt 2 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/29342-claimeda-parechkintoronto-article-written-for-the-tpez-reviewed-12/ Share on other sites
FacePuncher 1,343
Review: great title and great first quote lol. Toronto is looking good. It's very surprising that Parechkin is first in goals but fourth in points. At least you're still being physical, 3.7 hits per game is nothing to sneeze at. 501 words DollarAndADream 1 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/29342-claimeda-parechkintoronto-article-written-for-the-tpez-reviewed-12/#findComment-325688 Share on other sites
