DollarAndADream 3,356
All-Star Game: Zach's Bid With all of the All-Star Game players being announced recently, there now comes the question of who will be voted in by members of the league. The first ten forwards, six defensemen, and four goaltenders were voted in by the league higher ups, and now anyone from the VHL or VHLM can vote in another two in each category. Five players from the North American Conference's Toronto Legion have already made it into the game, with those players being Max Molholt, LeAndre St. Pierre, Francis York Morgan, Black Velvet, and Hans Wingate. All of these players have definitively been superstars for the Legion this season, and surprisingly enough, Zach Parechkin seems to have taken a back seat to them. This is not to say Parechkin has been bad however, as he still has 31 goals and 27 assists, giving him 58 points in 47 games. That is good for the most goals on his team, but the four players ahead of him in points on the Legion have been playing amazingly. On other teams, Parechkin would no doubt be producing as one of the best. He also has the most power play points on his team with 18. Obviously, that goes to show how great his teammates have been playing this season. --------------------------------- --------------------------------- In the VHL overall, Zach Parechkin is 4th in goals with his 31, only 6 behind New York's Edwin Reencarnacion. He is also 9th in shot percentage, potting them in at 11.40%. He remains the 5th best left winger in the VHL as well, and his teammate, also not a member in the All-Star Game right now, Benjamin Zeptenbergs is ahead of him in fact. The hits category seems to be where Zach Parechkin has taken a, might I say it....hit this season. Over the past couple of seasons he has been one of the tops in the league, but this season he has fallen to 10th overall, which is still pretty good. He has had 155 hits in 47 games, whereas the player in first, Lord Karnage has 231. Other than that, he is also 3rd in power play goals, 3rd in game winning goals, and has had a hat trick as well. As I write this article, Zach Parechkin currently leads the league-wide vote to be brought to the All-Star Game, alongside his Legionite teammate Benjamin Zeptenbergs. Although maybe some people among the VHL will not want to see seven Toronto members in the big game, it would definitely be quite the milestone for the Legion. Parechkin has more goals and hits than the other nominees to be voted in, so it would not be too surprising for the Legion captain to make it. This would be his 3rd All-Star appearance in his 3 seasons of VHL action. FacePuncher 1,343
Review: getting old articles. Did you ever make it into the All-Star game? From what I read, seems like you were top 10 in an awful lot of categories for you to not be chosen to participate in the All-Star Game. And that 1.23 PPG pace isn't too shabby either! 466 words (ps u should edit the title for me) Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/29559-claimedzach-parechkin-potential-all-star-reviewed/#findComment-334911 Share on other sites
