hedgehog337 3,483
Do you remember this interview? If not, there's a short story: Benjamin Zeptenbergs wasn't happy with the fact that he isn't the ASG worthy player. He bragged about his successful 46th season (which is weird, because we interviewed him in the S47) and he thought he should've been chosen by All-Star commitee just because ''they made a mistake by snubbing Benjamin''. Also, he blamed Zach Parechkin for stealing his spotlight. *Ironic fact #1 - Zach Parechkin is Benjamin's teammate at this moment* One more thing that we didn't mention in that interview: B.Z. found another person that might be a reason why he watched the ASG from his TV and it was Quebec's GM Clinton Chevy. He told us this trade ruined his chances to make it into the ASG, because EU conference was more stacked with forwards, than NA so he didn't have a single chance... What happened then? After he spent S47 in Calgary he was traded to the Toronto Legion team, the team where he started his VHL career. And what's more important: he realized he is going to play with the man that stole his ASG spot, Zach Parechkin (at least Zep was thinking like that). Surprisingly, there was no drama between them and it seemed like B.Z. forgot about his pain and agreed with that fact he isn't ASG worthy player. Yeah right... ...He has a nice season so far. He had 51 points in 43 games when commishes made an annoncement about the S48 All-Star game. They said this season's ASG will take place on April 11 in the unknown for me place. Nothing special, isn't it? We clearly didn't expect that some guy saw the opportunity to make another All-Star drama by posting 8 points in the next 2 games. We thought that he forgot, but he didn't: Benjamin Zeptenbergs just raised his point count to 59 in 45 games. But the All-Star commishes didn't believe in him and passed up on him once again and he wasn't included into the VHL forward's TOP 10. The dream is crushed? The vote. Not really. Commies made a poll where the people had a chance to voice their opinions about remaining 6 forwards. And what a surprise, Zeptenbergs was included into that list amongwith...Parechkin(!), Lincoln, Unassisted, Von Karma and Shock. The only problem was there were only 2 spots available for the All-Star roster and now it was up on other people.... So? Ironic fact #2 - Benjamin lost again to Parechkin. Ironic fact #3 - But it wasn't a big deal as he finished second with 13 votes (Zach had 14). He had 3 votes more than Lincoln and Unassisted and both of them are playing for Quebec! Ironic fact #4 - Tom Lincoln is Quebec GM's player!!! Sweet revenge, huh? Finally it's happening - Benjamin advanced into the ASG for the first and I guess for the last time as he has only 1,5 seasons left. And I'm really happy about this thing. Finally his dream hascome true and finally there is going to be no drama. By the way... Ironic fact #5 - Benjamin's captain is Jorma Ruutu - the guy who scored a clutch winner goal in conference semi's Game 7 between Calgary and New York to make it 4-3 in series. Zep was playing in Calgary. But anyway, congratulations to Benjamin and good luck to him in the ASG. Molholt and jRuutu

evrydayimbyfuglien 600
Review: Not sure "ironic" is the right word, probably more like "coincidental" but that was really my only complaint with this article. Congrats on the ASG appearance, I'm still hoping I get in at some point.
