TheLastOlympian07 2,388
The Season 48 draft past the 1st round had very little surprises as no one stayed that active. There was one player though who did stay active. 2nd Round, 11th Overall: Quebec City Meute select Defenseman Titan Kronos Kronos was a great pick up by the Meute. However he did stay with the team as he was mistakenly selected. He was a Season 49 prospect and not a Season 48 one so he will re enter the Season 49 draft where he belongs and the Meute will be compensated. They will have a VHL 11th Overall Pick while the team who wins the lottery will have the 12th overall pick and so on. This is a first in the 49 season history of the Victory Hockey League. 2nd Round, 12th Overall: Toronto Legion select Left Wing Dope Fiend Dope Fiend was selected with high hopes but he will most likely somewhat of a bust. He is playing out this season in the VHLM with the Oslo Storm scoring 27 goals and 39 assists for 66 points. He will hopefully return soon to prove me wrong. 2nd Round, 13th Overall: HC Davos Dynamo select Right Wing Rock Soapwart Rock Soapwart was a first gen player who started off strong but like Fiend hasn't been to practice in quite some time. He is playing out the season with the Saskatoon Wild. He has scored 17 goals and assisted on 17 for 34 points. 2nd Round, 14th Overall: Toronto Legion select Right Wing Pavel Varushkin Varushkin comes from a agency known as GoodLeftUndone. Much like his last player he brought to the VHL(M) he will most likely spend his career in the VHLM. Varushkin is playing with the Oslo Storm this season. He has scored 32 goals and assisted on 31 for 63 points. 2nd Round, 15th Overall: Cologne Express select Left Wing Adrian Kharlamov Kharlamov is another 1st gen player who hasn't panned out unfortunately. He is currently playing with the Brampton Blades where he has scored 7 goals and assisted on 28 for 35 points. He doesn't seem like he will be more than a VHLM lifer. 2nd Round, 16th Overall: Riga Reign select Left Wing Pavel Ovechkin Pavel Ovechkin is another 1st gen who didn't pan out. Ovehckin is playing with the Yukon Rush and he has scored 20 goals and assisted on 19 for 39 points this season. 2nd Round, 17th Overall: Cologne Express select Defenseman Randy Savage Randy Savage retired into the sunset and will unlikely find himself in the HoF much like he is excluded from the WWE HoF 2nd Round, 18th Overall: Cologne Express select Center P.J Jackson P.J Jackson another 1st gen (notice a trend?) who did not pan out. He is playing with the Saskatoon Wild where he scored 7 goals and assisted on 10 for 17 points. 2nd Round, 19th Overall: Stockholm Vikings select Left Wing Jamie Benn No not that Jamie Benn, but he has also already been traded to the HC Davos Dynamo. However, Jamie Benn is a VHLM Free agent. 2nd Round, 20th Overall: Cologne Express select Center Sid Crosby Express had a bunch of 2nd round picks that did not turn out and Crosby is one of them. He is playing with the Oslo Storm but only scored 7 goals and assisted on 2 for 9 points. 3rd Round, 21st Overall: Riga Reign select Left Wing Adam Holmstrom The first player selected in the 3rd round was Adam Holmstrom. He is playing with the Bratislava Watchmen. He has scored just 5 goals and assisted on 6 for 11 points. 3rd Round, 22nd Overall: Toronto Legion select Center Rene Bergeron Rene Bergeron comes from a very respected agency so its weird to see him fall so far, but now I see why. He hasn't been practising at all since he was selected. Despite this he led the Yukon Rush in scoring with 30 goals and 48 assists for 78 points. 3rd Round, 23rd Overall: HC Davos Dynamo select Left Wing Sterling Archer Sterling Archer is a first gen who didn't pan out. He is currently playing with the Saskatoon Wild. He has scored 4 goals and assisting on 9 for 13 points. 3rd Round, 24th Overall; Seattle Bears select Defenseman Xaiver Laine Mr. Irrelevant of this draft is Xaiver Laine. He is playing with the Moscow Red Wolves and is also supposed to be a teammate of mine. So i need to bug him to come back. He's had a pretty good season scoring 13 goals and assisting on 51 for 64 points.
