With important seeding on the line the final day of the World Cup round robin will be an interesting one. There are 5 teams that could be seeded anywhere from 1st to 5th when today's games are played. The remaining team, USA, who has yet to pick up a win in the World Cup, will be looking to play a major spoiler role in their final two games against Scandinavia and World.

Teams are definitely gunning for a top 2 finish in the round robin so that they can get a bye into the semi-finals. 3rd place will also be a coveted position as that team will play the weaker USA team in the quarter finals. The teams that finish 4th and 5th will likely be evenly matched and could make for an insane quarter final match up, with a strong medal contender heading home early.

Of the 5 teams that are looking to claim the #1 seed, these are the players I think that will need to step it up in the final two games tonight.

CANADA - G - Atticus von Braxton - 5-3-0 - 0.887SV% - 3.71GAA

AVB will need to put up at least a decent game if Canada wants to claim first overall in the standings. Canada has been a high scoring team so far, but has recently been losing 7-4 due to poor play by their goaltender.

EUROPE - F - Tyson Kohler - 3G - 1A - 4P - 16HIT

Tyson Kohler is one of the youngest players on team Europe, but he represents the future for the multi-nation team. With 3 goals through 8 games, the Europeans will need Kohler to cash in a few times in the final two games to avoid the quarter finals.

MERCENARIES - F - Bogdan Podarok - 2G - 4A - 6P - 7HIT

One of the leaders for the Mercenaries has been having a good tournament, but the team is in dire need of some more scoring. The goaltenders have been playing well for the Mercs, it has been a lack of offensive output that has held them back. Look for Podarok to put the team on his back late in the game.

SCANDINAVIA - D - Joel Jarvi - 1G - 6A - 7P - 5HIT

The Scandinavians are competing with two very young goaltenders, so defense will be important for them to win. Jarvi has played well in both the offensive and defensive zones and has really helped the goalies. If Scandinavia is to grab the top seed, Jarvi will need to increase his team leading +6

WORLD - F - Karnage & Reencarnacion - 9G - 13A - 22P - 62HIT

Blitzkrieg and shock & awe. If World wants the number one seed their top players will need to continue to show up and dominate the opponents on both the score sheet and physically.

USA - S50 World Cup

They will need to be better, look for new players to join the team and develop going into the next World Cup, Look for Titans Kronos, William Covington and Vincent Adultman as the future stars.
