E'Twaun Delicious has been many things throughout his VHL career: a Frenchman, a first overall pick in both the VHLM and VHL drafts, a New York American, a VHL champion and probably not a VHL All-Star. He's one of those interesting enigmas, a former first overall pick not quite in the same full-on-bust category as Josef Heiss Jr., Al Wilson, or Black Velvet (what a scrub) but he hasn't been good enough to not be considered a disappointment either. No, Delicious finds himself among the Godavari Yumalpintos, the Wesley Kellingers and the Jordan Berglunds as the first overall picks who likely wouldn't be considered busts had they went a couple picks laters. Still, it's tough to be happy with a major draft investment when they only end up being a solid depth player.

Delicious, to his credit, has been a point per game player in 5 of his 7 seasons and is on pace to do so again this season. Still, he hasn't exactly become the dynamic goal scorer many were expecting when he came into the VHL. His shooting efficiency has to put him among the worst full-career players in the league history, although I won't bother to check.

In his rookie season, Delicious scored a solid 37 goals and totaled 73 points. However, he scored those 37 goals on 422 shots, shooting just 8.8 percent in a horrid display of inefficiency. Following that came easily his worst season, as Delicious managed just 27 goals and 55 points on 430 shots. That comes out to a putrid 6.3 percent of shots converted into goals, which has to be the worst mark any player with at least 300 shots has managed in league history (but again, I'm not gonna bother to find out).

Delicious got back on track in his third season, with 39 goals and 80 points, while shooting 9.2 percent on the ice. When you're celebrating shooting 9.2 percent, you know you have to be a scrub. In his fourth season, Delicious scored a career high 40 goals with 81 points, while finally joining the realm of the good scorers by shooting 10.3 percent. It's still not that great of a mark, but at least Delicious finally ascended past being a detriment.

It seemed like Delicious had turned a corner at that point. The following season, he scored 39 goals and logged a career high 83 points, and actually shot 11 whole percent. 11 percent! Wow, I knew you could do it buddy! Of course, Delicious decided he wasn't a big fan of efficiency, regressing to 32 goals, 80 points and a 7.5 percent shooting percentage that he felt more at-home with. It was clear that Delicious just didn't want to be a good scorer.

What followed was a second season in Delicious' career where he was awful beyond words. Not only did he manage just 22 goals and 54 points, but he scored those goals on 336 shots, giving him a shooting percentage of 6.5 percent. At this point, it's looking like Delicious might just be the worst volume shooter in the VHL's history. So far this season, Delicious has 9 goals and 24 points through 22 games, with an "improved" shooting percentage of 7.9 percent. I don't understand how anyone lets him play hockey anymore.

It's almost like he thought he was god after scoring 4 times on 12 shots in his first playoff appearance in S44. After that strong stretch, Delicious has scored 10 goals on 158 postseason shots since for a Delicious-esque shooting percentage of 6.3 percent. Even with that first postseason added in, his 14 goals on 170 shots amounts to a poor 8.2 percent. Das bad.

I'd suggest adding a picture or 2 to this to spice it up. :) It is in the guidelines, after all.
