Okay so I cannot record with my Headphones but can cause my computer has a built in mic.

 

So ill do the recording later on today.

 

There's probably a better way to do this that someone with more computer knowledge can tell you, but you can try messing around in your "Recording Devices" by right clicking the speaker icon on the toolbar/start menu thing.

This. If a $200 pair of headphones with a mic can't use the mic than I'd be amazed. Chances are it either needs some drivers or isn't set up as a recording device.

Then again, most audio ports on computers are designed for output only (with a different port for input) so its possible that the (I assume) inline mic is only really designed for things like phones that use one port for input and output.

I looked it up on utube and it doesnt give me the option to use the mic.

Are you putting it in the green input or the pink one in your computer?

Yeah still isnt working it identifies it, but does not give me the option to use it.

It wont let me use the mic but if I just use one ear bud and talk into the other it works for some reason...
