Season 50 in the VHL is rolling on nicely, teams playing good hockey and there has been more fans watching the games live than perhaps ever before. Fun to be a hockey player in the VHL at the moment, I don´t know why, but also the sun seems to be out a lot more now than for example last year? I lived in New York last year though, but its still weird.

Anyways, I have a good reason to be here today, last week I managed to score my 20th goal of the year. That might not sound much, but reaching 20 goals this year means that I have managed to score over 20 goals in every season of my career.  Pretty cool milestone for a player who came into the league as a rookie and now is going to leave the league as a semi-good goal scorer! I´m not done yet, if I manage to keep this pace up, I will score over 30 goals and that means that I have managed to score 30 or more goals in last 6 seasons!

Cool guy levels just keep on going higher and higher, but reaching these milestones is only possible if I got great players around me and luckily that is the case again this year. Davos is currently 4th in the whole league, so there is potential for excellent season, not just for me personally, but for Davos and for fans of Davos.

Season of course just started and there is a lot of hockey to be played, but feeling inside the team is great and we are all working together to be better. Hard to take things easily when there is multiple guys working hard and ready to take your place. Pretty much the ideal situation to be in as a veteran player.

I decided to take things bit easier yesterday though and went out to celebrate my glorious 20 goal milestone. I have been bit busy, so I have not been able to enjoy the city of Davos that much lately, so I went out alone. I did not do anything too special, just walked around for few hours.

I had few beers with me and I was also listening to some music while strolling around the city, but even though I tried to look busy, some fans approached me and pretty much ruined the whole thing, I mean why do people want to take pictures so much?

Talking with fans and in general being recognized everywhere you go is something that normal people don´t have to worry about at all and there is really no way to prepare for it if you get famous over the night like I did. Nobody knew who I was before I played for New York, but after few games, everybody knew who I was.

I of course took the pictures with the fans and acted like I cared, but I had my mind somewhere else. Had a ok night, but got yet another reminder that its not so fun to be a hockey player all the time.

Way to go on 20! I will be rooting for you to get 30 and end your career strong. I would feel like getting all this attention would be really hard on you. I wouldn't know, because my player sucks and no one cares about Podarok :P good luck in this season!
