League Leaders

In the fourth installment this season of the league leaders in goals and assists in the VHL, we’ll take a look at who’s leading the league having now fifty games into Season Fifty-One. As we draw closer to the end of the seasons it seems the pack has started to group together and leads that once seemed untouchable are now closing in.

Previous Leader in Goals: Tyson Kohler (33 goals; 37 games)

Current Leader in Goals: Tyson Kohler (43 goals; 50 games)/ Zach Parechkin (43 goals; 50 games)

Kohler now has a buddy on top of the VHL leaderboard. Kohler who took over the led in goals during the last installment has been caught by Toronto Legion forward and installment number one leader, Zach Parechkin. Both players are just shy of the goal per game mark and both are helping lead their respective clubs to playoff positions currently. Next week we will have to see if either name will be at the top of the leaderboard, or if the lead will continue to change hands.

Previous Assists Leader: Black Velvet (54 Assists; 37 games)

Current Assists Leader: Black Velvet (67 Assists; 50 games)

Black Velvet continues his tour at the top of the assists leaderboard as the league moves past the fifty game mark. Although Velvet finds himself at the top still, his once almost ten point lead in the assists category has dwindled down to just one. With the luxury of being on a offensive powerhouse in Calgary, Velvet will look to keep the lead away from Cologne defender Phil Hamilton for another twenty-two games.
