:cal:One More Kick At The Can:vhl:

This is it for two members of the Calgary Wranglers, as Aleski Koponen and Ariel Weinstein will finish up their VHL careers after this season. With both players entering the league in time for the league’s forty-fifth season, they will be forced to retire comes seasons’ end, but currently their retirement would come with different circumstances. Aleski Koponen headed to the up swinging Helsinki Titans in Season Forty-Five, who would eventually play their way into championships in Season Forty-Five and Season Forty-Six. Meanwhile Weinstein headed to the Quebec Meute for two lonely seasons before heading to Stockholm for two and a half seasons where he had his best chance to win a cup, but of course didn’t succeed.

With the Wranglers failing horribly last season in the playoffs, possibly the Wranglers can get over the hump if Koponen and Weinstein play the lights out in the playoffs in their swan song in the league.

*For Weinstein*
