I'm disappointed

I'm disappointed that Petenis missed his opportunity to make into the VHL All-Star game. 

I'm disappointed in FA's. Only Kyanon signed with us, other guys went to other teams, especially to NY who will have only decent goalie. 

But most of all, I'm disappointed in RoTY voting. I can't take the fact that Skye somehow took that award...this is a joke. 

 

Tell me, is that hard to post >91% save perc. in a bad team?

Tell me, does the hits and decent +/- ratio for a rookie means nothing?

Or it's only about the points? Jardy and Jericho says it's not, but maybe GM's have the different thoughts. 

 

If that's so, I guess I'll never get any award with Petenis. Hits and shot blocks are good, but points are better, isn't it?

 

 

And I'm disappointed in fact I'll probably never get the VHL award - right now it's my peak in sim leagues and maybe I will be more active soon, but how long it will last? I don't know, but I'm never getting maximum TPE numbers even on my peak period. And when I'm gonna slow down with my activity, I'll have 0 chances to create a player who's gonna get any award. 

 

I guess I'll be remembered in sim leagues as a guy who makes sleeper picks. And while I'm proud of it, I wanted to take at least one personal award. And this S51 RoTY disappointed me a lot. 

 

Well, I guess I have SBA left where Drakulis finally became a real deal.

Higgins with more points and a better +/- loses to Braxton because of superior SB and Hits for the Labatte Trophy. Admittedly this was a super close vote, but with how close the stats were across the board you could have made the case for either candidate. Point are not the only thing that matters in Top defenseman voting.

Don´t worry about it too much, you still have plenty of time to win other awards  Same with the VHL all-star game, you might be there this year!

Points aren't everything no, but having more than 20 or would've helped your case. That means your player gets 1 point every 4 games on a team that is better than Skye's. His ability to get good stats was a lot harder than yours.

And that's why Petenis won't get any award. He's a DD, I don't think he will score more than 50-60 points in a season. This answer goes to @Jericho as well as you showed a screen when def's got > 100 points.

Yeah but if you have to understand that you could put a 150TPE D in a middle of the pack team and he could get 20 points and a high number of SB and Hits.

I picked that one because my greatest knowledge is the 20s, and for the rest of the seasons the Top D has more points AND SB and Hits than everyone else, so it wasn't really an argument.

 

Points aren't ALL that matter, but they still matter. You can justify defensive stats as a decider when you're around a PPG but you aren't really the top defenseman if you're a one way player, and you can't say you had a better performance than Skye definitively.
