It makes the BG look very flat and makes the render not match it whatsoever. In general the colours just don't really match. I'm also confused by the red outline around the render. The colours colour be fine but I think you need to try different layer modes because it's not working great as is. The text is okay and the lighting could be a bit better. If you had stronger lighting, and pulled more of the blue/purple into the BG, I think it would be stronger as a whole.
