Hello everyone! I mean the to post this stuff yesterday, but school and such was not on my side. So now I'm typing this in my Earth through Time class since they're only talking about the syllabus and it's a freshman level class. Anyways, this article is an early awards voting! Sometimes the best fantasy player isn't the best player, but we don't give a shit about that! We are looking at who would win the VHL awards if we only judged based off of fantasy points. Now, of course, awards like "playoff MVP" and "MOP" obviously, and I won't include anything like "most points" and "most goals" because there's nothing different between that normally and that here. So, let's get started.

Championship: @jRuutu

jRuutu absolutely made Group B his bitch, grabbing the number one FP scorer in the fourth round. With 1482.62 FP, he was the highest scoring by 145.4 points. With his squad of Unassisted, Jon Sleeman, Theo Axelsson, Phil Hamilton, Maksym Barnyashev, and Sandro Clegane, he destroyed the competition. Will he be able to continue that dominance next season?

MVP: Jon Sleeman @Frank

Another guy who ran away with the competition, Sleeman repeated as the top FP producer of the VHL. Sleeman's 323 FP put him 50 points above the second place player. With over 50 goals, 50 assists, 300 hits, and 100 shot blocks, it's a safe bet that he could also win the VHL MVP award

Top Defenseman: Jim Lahey @Cuffy

In one of the most shocking turn of events in the VHFL this season, Jim Lahey, a player who went undrafted and scored 110.4 FP last year for 54th place, a player that wasn't selected in a single VHFL group, finished 7th in FP scoring with 246.8 FP this year. This is mostly thanks to the defensive giant-builder that was Helsinki. Both Lahey and rookie Maksym Barnyashev finished 7th and 8th in total fantasy points.

Top Goalie: Sandro Clegane @JardyB10

after I called him out and said he was overhyped, after how he was in 6th place for goalies after 50 games, after I drafted him the latest out of every group, Clegane said "Fuck you, Dwyer" and decided to lead all goalies in points. Thanks for giving my team that 5 TPE :D

Top Rookie: Maksym Barnyashev @Wasty

As we said about Lahey, Barnyashev greatly benefited from the defensive powerhouse of Helsinki. So much in fact, that he lead the whole VHL in blocked shots. Interestingly enough, it was a tight race, as fellow rookie defenseman Lee King Snatch was just 11 FP behind.

Top Two-Way Forward: Jon Sleeman @Frank

No surprise here. 3rd among forwards in hits and 2nd in shots blocked, he is the only forward who is a member of the 200-100 club. Sleeman got 153 FP from defensive stats, accounting for 47.37% of his FP production.

Most Improved: Jim Lahey @Cuffy

The obvious choice for MIP. Like we said earlier, he made a 136.4 FP jump and a 47 spot jump in the FP rankings. Lahey was the FP god that no one saw coming.
