Shankly Performing to Expectations

Shankly is doing almost exactly as much as his player agent, Phil Knight, predicted him to do so far these playoffs.

Before the playoffs began, Knight pulled him aside and set a goal for him. He told him to average 0.5 points per game and about 5 hits.

Well he’s averaging 0.45 ppg and about 4 hits per game. The hard-hitting rookie definitely feels like he’s contributing more to the team that he did in the regular season and this seems to put him more at easy. He was pretty nervous about his lack of points during the regular season, but has definitely grown into his new role as the enforcer and protector of Essian Ravenwing and the other forward (lines were swapped around a bit, but those two have stuck together).

The Americans are currently up 2-1 in the Finals of the VHL and will be looking to take a 3-1 lead back home.
