*The hedgehog is sad*

''What have I done?'' - the Riga Reign GM @hedgehog337 was disappointed with ''No thanks.'' answer from ''anonymous'' GM. What's going to happen with Riga now? Nobody knows, the GM is in shambles. But what actually happened?

First of all, let's go back to NA Finals Game 7 between NY and Seattle. The Bears lost that game in OT and @Banackock already knew what to do - lots of oldies and after Podarok's early retirement he had no choices but selling players to other teams. So the off-season has started and right now we know that only Rodriguez awaits his new team. We will skip the first two trades to see this:

To Seattle :sea:

4th Overall (S54 RIG 1st)

To Riga :rig:

Guntis Petenis

Wow terrible;  WTF is this;  I don't even know if i would do this; damn what - the other member reactions told us everything. Is Hedgehog really is out of touch ot there was something we didn't know?

The actual plan was to sell Petenis to other team for a good pick. And not only him. There are Leblanc, Dotran and Virtanen on the trade block as well, but the main problem was in Gunča. I was told he had a quick convo with the other GM about trading Petenis to them for a similar pick, but that plan completely failed. That was a huge miscalculation by Riga GM and that actually means the team won't have more draftees from this season unless some team pulls up a 'last hour'' trade offer. Also I've heard he is having more offers from other teams and there was even a S55 first round pick on the table. But for some unknown reasons Hedge is draging it out. Does he knows something? Maybe. But what I know right now is this team has Virtanen, Dotran, Petenis, Krīgars and Leblanc. Lots of players to trade, but that trade is the only off-season trade by Riga so far. So, what he can do in this situation?

1. Trying to sell players before the draft.   In other words, trying to get more S54 firsts as possible. Or at least one, because there are not lot of a first round players. The problem is they will be needed only for contenders and some of them, like Helsinki and Quebec have a high-end first. Helsinki also has the 7th pick, but will that be enough to ''salvage that pick down the road'', as @Frank said? I guess not.

2. Selling players right after the draft.  What's the point though? The S55 draft doesn't looks much promising so far and why he's going to do that if there's a better option, like

3. Selling players at the trade deadline.  This makes more sense. By that time, he will know how many quality draftees the S55 draft is going to produce. The problem is the price for players might go down as some of them won't play even a half-season in a new team.

4. Compete.  That's the WTF option, but Hedgehog already fucked up, so he might go full @Devise and desperate mode. But it's still crazy.

So what's up now? Is the Reign's future fucked? Is there a bright light? Nobody knows and Hedge is on shambles. Or...?
