Verner Reinholdt Issues First Comment Post S54 Draft

Much like his fellow Calgary Wrangler draftee, Verner Reinholdt did not appear at the Season 54 draft live. As such nobody has really been able to gauge his thoughts on the draft, where he was selected, and how things have been going early on in Season 54. Following the first few games of the season with the Oslo Storm,

Yeah I was initially going to attend the draft live, but I'm going to be honest; very little VHL GM's contacted me or my agent. I was kind of stunned. I didn't have the best first VHLM season, but I was very diligent in my practice hours, I was very vocal that there were several teams I'd spend my career with.  I'm not the type of person who holds grudges, but I won't lie I felt a little FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY after the draft. I thought there was an opportunity for me to go to a team I was willing to commit too a bit earlier than I went and obviously GM's just weren't interested in going that direction. It has made me rethink my decisions all together, and my VHL future. Right now I'm with Oslo, I'm back in Europe and I think that is best for me. It allows me to be a bit closer to my family. I'm still going to be a VHL threat, but I don't know if I'm going to be as open with certain teams that I thought I was going to be following that draft. Kind of left a sour taste in my mouth. I've had some conversations with the guy in Calgary and while I think he has a a clear idea of some team vision; I really couldn't tell you what that is. I don't know if he could either. So we'll leave it at that. It's a tough season here in Oslo, everyone seems to be on the Las Vegas hype train and that team just suddenly became so overloaded. I was passed up in that draft too. Seems to be a trend. I won't forget these trends though, and in three seasons time regardless of what happens in Calgary I'll be a free agent. At this point unless something changes I am likely to be going to free agency. It's just hard to have confidence in franchises that don't have that same confidence in me as a player y'know? So we'll see what shakes out.

Calgary is a team of all CPU. Just because I'm being realistic doesn't mean I don't #TrustTheProcess
