Volkov Starts Season in Vegas; Has Great Mustache 

 

After being selected by the "VHLM Super Team" in the Las Vegas Aces, the season has started about exactly how they planned kicking off with a 7-0-0 record. However, this isn't the only thing that has been looking up for Volkov, he's also surprisingly chipped in some points unexpectedly. 

 

"I have no fuckin' clue what's going on, it's gotta be the mustache I grew since I got drafted by Calgary. I base my whole game on being physical and blocking shots but lately I've just been finding ways to get on the scoresheet in ways that aren't hits. It's probably me hopping on the back of my stacked team but I'll take what I can get." -Volkov

 

A depth player who doesn't contribute a ton on the scoring sheet but will be valuable to teams looking for help on defense is exactly what Volkov projects to be. Right now, he's adjusting to that role in Las Vegas which is something Calgary must enjoy seeing for the development of their prospect. If Luca continues on this development trajectory, he will be blocking a lot of shots for the Wranglers in the coming seasons.
