This will be a weekly article on the top 3 of each position and maybe some runner ups. The draft class this year is one for the ages. With the amount of talent that VHL teams could potentially get into the second round of the draft! This list does not mean that the players highlighted are draft eligible only that they are currently playing in the VHLM. This week we are going to focus on one of the weaker positions of the upcoming draft Centers.

1. Sergei Komarov  Las Vegas Aces :veg:

Having a career year this year Sergei Komarov is absolutely lighting up the VHLM. His 27 goals in 25 games so far this season is over goal per game! Adding onto his 27 goals he has also managed to rack up 21 assists making him not just the highest scoring center in the league but arguable the best player in the league.

His point totals are staggering as well, he has almost 2 points a game so far this season. He and the Vegas Aces hope to keep up that total and carry Vegas into the playoffs (Team sits currently in 2nd place)

2. Chase Keller  Yukon Rush :yuk:

The VHLM entry drafts number one overall pick has not let down so far thus year. His 21 goals in 23 games is very good especially for a rookie. The media is asking themselves if he would be the number one Center on this list if he had played in the first couple games.

Keller for some reason as well as some other players from the Wild were missing in the first games of the season. Extended vacation or excessive partying seems to be the consensus. Currently sitting at 7th in the league in scoring is not a bad thing considering he has played roughly 5 games less then the players above him.

(Team sits currently in 5th place)

3. Ulyanin Namestnikov Saskatoon Wild :ssk:

While this player is not currently sitting in 3rd in points scored, this list isn't about points necessarily its about the best of each position. Namestnikov is one of those players were points are not everything(even though he currently sits 4th in points) He is a great two way player and recently he has been racking up the assists. The reason he sits 3rd on this list is because of his two way play, his team the Wild are currently in 3rd place in the league because of his two way ability. His 27 assists are just the icing on the cake as he is leading the league in assists for the center position.

(Team sits currently in 3th place)

Honorable Mentions:

Jack Shepard

Corey Klopfenstein

Charles Murphy

This concludes the first of our series of top 3 in each position rankings. There will be an article every week of the best of each position. Stats change daily so take them as they are.

By season's end, I will be #4 you wait and watch with Calder at 5.

Well once I've gone through all the positions I could always redo them and then you could be on the list?

Analysis: Nice to see so much coverage of the minors this year, especially with these new recruits we are getting. Will be cool to see this group of players make the jump to the bigs in the near future. Look forward to seeing the change in their rankings at the end of the year!
