Junior-aged forward Mike Kocizgon is in the midst of playoff season, so distractions aren't a welcome intrusion at the moment. And still, the conversations with the Labatte Player Agency have been on-going for weeks. The chance to play professional hockey in the long-tenured Victory Hockey League may be less of a dream for Kocizgon and more of a reality in the coming months. Time will tell if a deal can be struck.

"We haven't had a player in the VHL for a number of years now, but we're thinking it may be time to bring another kid into the league. Kocizgon is a great Junior player right now. If he does sign, he won't be coming to the VHL right away since he still has Junior eligibility left,"  said player agent Alex Labatte.

The Labatte Agency is famous for producing Hall of Fame VHL players. Defenseman Jeff Hamilton was the last contracted Labatte player in the VHL.
