Kane a DOTY candidate?

Ko Kane is having a breakout season. He was always a legit top 2 defender on any team but this year he has really developed and is among the leagues best at this position. Right now he sits 5th in points behind Ay Ay Ron who is generational (or was), Pablo who is a hall of fame talent, Colton Rayne who is playing on an insane duo with Casey Jones. In my eyes he has to be close to those guys and if he can have a great end to the season he has to be in consideration for the award. He has 9 goals and 20 assist for 29 points in 30 games. He is in every way a franchise defenseman picked late in the first round. A late bloomer one has to wonder what all he learned from Felix Savard in his brief time in Davos. Either way, he is looking more and more like a potential future hall of famer depending on how long his career goes at this level.
