It was the day Sidney Crosby had been waiting for all summer, draft night. Sitting on the couch at his parents’ house he eagerly awaited the 8:30PM start time. Round 1, Pick 1. It had begun. Name after name flashed across the screen, none of which said Sidney Crosby. Then the last pick ran across the screen and disappointment set in. After having high hopes of getting drafted and starting his career in the VHLM, Sidney Crosby went undrafted. Was this it, was this the end of the line for Crosby’s hockey career? The question was answered the next day when Yukon Rush GM @BarzalGoat gave him a chance. Crosby was offered a spot in the 1st line D, the Power play, and the PK. When asked about the opportunity Crosby was quick to set his goals high, wanting to “help lead the team to a deep playoff run to avenge the disappointing defeat of the Rush last season.” Crosby has a lot to prove and is excited to start the season this upcoming week. We will check in with him after week one to see how he felt about the first week in the league.
