Things are always fun for me. People ask me why I don't go a full eight seasons or why I tend to recreate as often as I do, outside of my love for the VHL, it's just fun to have a new kind of persona I'd say. Having one player for a long time usually just bores me and that is why I retire and recreate often and early. I just love the whole lead up to the draft process and the draft effect to be honest. I don't look to be drafted and to screw over a team that grabs me intentionally. Either I will hit a blockage when it comes to PT's or I just simply don't do anything for a long period of time then it eats away at me. I don't think I could have a player where I go full blown inactive at all really. I had to sit on my guys when I was in EFL for a bit and it just got boring and I almost retired those players early before they even left the college game. The draft was the only thing that kept me interested. I always say I wanna go a full career and one time I will end up doing so.

I always love the re-creating process and going through the draft and whatnot, just have a hard time justifying retiring early when I did all the work on a current player.

But that's why I don't get the argument for longer careers, to me, re-creating is the best part and after 8 seasons I'm always very ready to do it.

Starting a new career is definitely fun, but, at least for me, the argument for longer careers is that it should be an option that’s available, even if it’s as a purchase. For every member that’s ready to recreate after 8, there’s another one who has unfinished business like reaching a milestone for goals or points or wins. Or one who went a full career without a Cup.

For me, the ability to extend a career doesn’t really hurt anyone else, especially if it costs enough that you’d need to sacrifice another purchase like OBNF, so I don’t see why it’s such a big deal for other people. Making it a choice that people have to make would make it interesting and seeing someone chase a milestone like 1000 points or games or 500 goals, etc... that’d be pretty cool to me.
