Looking at the roster for True North, it seems like we have a lot of guys that are still kind of building toward where they'll eventually be in their primes. The only three guys that I'd say are fully prime players are Evan R. Lawson, Oyorra Arroyo, and Shawn Brodeur, although Ryuu Crimson in particular will likely pass Lawson soon enough, and Brodeur is nearing the end of his career, leaving Arroyo the headliner for the team. Then there are a lot of guys who are a tier below but young and improving, and should be big contributors in a season or two. The roster is as follows:

Forwards

Evan R. Lawson

Oyorra Arroyo

Dan Wilinsky

Ryuu Crimson

Pat Svoboda

Randoms

Oleksiy Revchenko

Karl Von Moltke

Connor McDavid
John Madden

Bo Axelsson, retired

Defense

Maxim Kovalchuk

Jesse Wilson

Toby Fitzgerald

Two people who've been signed but I don't know who they are just yet

Goalies

Shawn Brodeur

Johnny Havenk Carison

So the first thing that's kind of forcing its hand as far as lines are concerned would be the lack of centers. Revchenko and McDavid are the only two true centers, but Lawson is a left wing with 80 in faceoffs given the team need, so that'll be the other center. Wingers may play off-wing if it best fits the lines, since that's not really penalized in the sim, so what I'd expect is two pairs of Calgary, with an extra player on each line, then the younger and VHLMers on the lower lines.

Arroyo - Lawson - Crimson

Moltke - Revchenko - Wilinsky

Randoms - McDavid - Madden

Svoboda and Axelsson (probably Revchenko to double at C, and if Axelsson can't go from some sort of rule, then Arroyo would likely be the other double)

Defensively, it's hard to tell exactly who will be where when I don't know who the other two are, all I know is @AndrewWarren13 mentioned he'd had two guys accept offers. I'm going to go out on a limb and say there's a decent one and a new guy, just as an estimate, in which case here's my guess:

Kovalchuk - better new guy

Wilson - Fitzgerald

Kovalchuk doubled - younger new guy

Goalie-wise, I'd assume Brodeur would get the majority of starts over Carison, although Carison's the best 2nd option goalie in the tournament (and would start for Jolt Juice where Alexander Pepper and Rhett Stoffiday are on the roster - two very promising goalies of the future, but goalies of the future nonetheless). Carison will probably command a larger split than the typical backup, considering he's good enough to have started last season for Toronto before Brodeur was acquired, and he's the guy going forward when Brodeur retires. I'd expect something in the neighborhood of 2/3 Brodeur 1/3 Carison, and next year who knows, depending on how well Brodeur has planned for his final depreciation.

In any case, the whole team is S62 or younger except the three mentioned in the first paragraph, so this might be a development year for us, but I look forward to being the wise old vet when the rest of the roster fully develops. Expect in 2 seasons to see True North at the top of the mountain.

Brodeur has 22 or so million in the bank so far plus next season's contract money and this 1.25 million so I think he will be decently set for depreciation

That's good to hear :)
