"I know the first overall title is a lot to live up to, but I want to set that bar for myself as high as it can be. I had a decent regular season, capped off by the greatest prize of all for us draftees, a Founder's Cup. Winning that was amazing, but being drafted here by Riga is the biggest honour I can imagine." After being drafted first by the Bratislava Watchmen, Fjorsstrom joined a highly regarded team that would eventually win it all after one of the most impressive seasons in VHL history. In 72 regular season games, Fjorsstrom had 78 points and 73 blocked shots. In the playoffs, he elevated his game, leading all defensemen and Watchmen with 15 points in 10 games. "I think my playoff production definitely helped me get drafted where I was. I'm excited for the future and what it might hold." Fjorsstrom will be reunited with his defense partner, Phil Villeneuve, from Bratislava. You eat sleep and breath that franchise and as much as that may be the "same old" to some people it is quite good that we have players willing to do that for certain teams. Riga will always have some integrity on it because of that fact. Now maybe this player can win some individual awards eh?
