Last week we rolled out the Top 3 centers eligible for the Season 67 VHL Entry Draft and discussed in detail about Phil Marleau, Boris the Forest and Aston Martin. This week, on the third installment of the S67 early draft content we dig into the Top 3 wingers (L or R) eligible for the draft.

:phi:Bjorn Scoringsonn – RW – Philadelphia Reapers :phi: @11 Eleven

The man that was born to score comes in at number one on our list; Bjorn Scoringsonn of the 34-win Philadelphia Reapers. The 18th overall selection in the VHLM draft has proved to be a steal for the Reapers as he continues to develop and open eyes around the league. In 45 games played he has tallied 19 goals and 19 assists, which slots him at fifth best on the team. While not boasting incredible gaudy statistics, Bjorn has found a nice home on a balanced-scoring Reapers team. He comes from a long lineage of hockey heritage in Iceland and as his name suggest, his best trait is his natural goal scoring ability.

“It has taken Bjorn a little time to adjust to the VHLM game coming over from Iceland where he was royalty. However, I like his trajectory and he really has some impressive goal scoring and skating ability. Talking around the league, he has a legit shot to go #1.”

:hfx:Acyd Burn – LW – Halifax 21st :hfx: @Acydburn

Second on the list is a player that seemingly came out of nowhere: Acyd Burn of the Halifax 21st. Similar to our number one, Bjorn Scoringsonn, Acyd Burn does not have overly impressive stats for Halifax with 11 goals and 27 assists. This is primarily due to this Halifax team having some offensive power from VHL drafted players such as Blake Gaudette and AJ Axelsen. Flying under the radar, Acyd is proving to the league that he is an all-around offensive threat with high upside. He has a very quik release that catches goalies off guard, but also possesses great puck handing and passing skills that make him a special mix of a player.

“Acyd is a player that has been flying up draft boards over the past couple weeks. Scouts aren’t putting much stock in his lack of dominant statistics. He’s gotten a bit unlucky with a 6% shooting percentage, which is far below his teammates. He’s a player that can win in all scenarios and someone who can undoubtedly prove to be a big steal in the draft.”

:ott:ACL TEAR – RW Ottawa Lynx :ott: @Quik

Rounding out the Top 3 is a very unique winger from the Ottawa Lynx named ACL TEAR. We flirted with the idea of swapping in Michael Gary Scott into this slot, but quite frankly,  we thought ACL TEAR deserved some sort of recognition. The hulking 6’8 250 pound winger is an old-school, in your face type of grinder and a player that this league hasn’t seen in years. He has managed to find the score sheet with 10 goals and 11 assists in his 45 games played, but that is not the type of player he is. At the time of this article he has 69 penalty minutes (nice) and 130 Hits. That is the type of player he is. ACL will be the first to stick up for a teammate and the first to deliver a bone crushing (or ligament tearing) body check in the middle of the ice.

“I mean I have seen better hands on a clock, but I am quite intrigued with this player. I’ve never seen someone play a more physical game than this man and his skating ability is quite good. I truly don’t know where this player will end up in the draft, but someone is going to take a flier on him and it will be fun to watch.”

Does MSG actually play? I’ve only seen TEAR in the penalty box.
