HenrikZoiderberg 469
The Old White Rhino - Part 3 Aleksei sighed. After a three-win streak his team had finally pulled ahead of the indignant American Dragons, but things were still not looking good. His phantoms were mere points from the bottom of the league, their goal differential was abyssmal, and a mighty Russian was standing in their way next game. Things would have to be done. Changes would have to be made. He rubbed his head, sipped his vodka, and wondered. A mop fell over, landing directly on his birthmark. Aleksei made no motion to move it. Who'se fault could this be? Aleksei reviewed his notes. Draper @Infernal was a minus twenty on the season a quarter-way in, but was also the Phantoms' best triggerman with an astonishing 10 goals. If he could put up 40 on the season, surely the Old White Rhino could forgive his defensive shortcomings. Being paired with more defensively minded players and limiting penalty kills would stop him from being such a Dick on the ice, he would have to stay among the veterans to continue his success. He moved on to a different scapegoat. Erik Draven @Jbeezy76 was in a similar position, only one better than Draper at minus nineteen on the season, but he was also leading the team in points. On top of that, he was the Captain, and fans would not take kindly to having their favorite player thrown under the bus. Draven was young, enthusiastic, and would improve over time. He was tall and threw his body around on the ice, and had shown a recent interest in improving his defensive game. As far as Lee's shortcomings came, it couldn't rain all the time. Aleksei shook his head once more. There was something he was missing. Something wasn't adding up to bring the Phantoms the success they deserved. He crossed the hall and handed Draven and Draper's files to @diamond_ace, alcohol dripping from his breath. I was cracking up! Yeah we will get better our team needs to be better and more consistent on defense. I think most of the reason my plus/minus is so bad is because my ice time is pretty large so I'm out there for just about everything..lol Im not complaining though! For the 2nd year in a row I asked to be dropped to the 2nd line and it has worked my points have went up and I have found great chemistry with Laughton and Miniti. I guess Laughton and his vaseline glove is working wonders on his upside..lol cuz I know that glove isn't coming anywhere near me.
