There were a lot of great goalies this year, let's take a look at who will likely be nominated for this award as well as their statistics!

  1. Finn Davison (Davos)
    • 37-20-7, .927 SAVE PERCENTAGE, 2.20 GAA, 10 Shutouts
  2. Brick Wahl (Calgary)
    • 31-28-5, .921 SAVE PERCENTAGE, 2.38 GAA, 4 Shutouts
  3. Kallis Kriketers (Riga)
    • 39-17-4, .918 SAVE PERCENTAGE, 2.40 GAA, 8 Shutouts
  4. Rayz Funk (Seattle)
    • 38-22-4, .921 SAVE PERCENTAGE, 2.42 GAA, 8 Shutouts
  5. Alexander Pepper (Helsinki)
    • 42-16-5, .916 SAVE PERCENTAGE, 2.51 GAA, 2 Shutouts
  6. Michael Johnson (Malmo)
    • 41-18-5, .917 SAVE PERCENTAGE, 2.60 GAA, 3 Shutouts

Well, who should win this award? I mean, if I had to really list out who would be the top 6 of this award, it would be the following:

  1. Finn Davison
  2. Rayz Funk
  3. Kallis Kriketers
  4. Brick Wahl
  5. Alexander Pepper
  6. Michael Johnson

Well, that means Finn Davison would take home the Greg Clegane Trophy as the VHL Goaltender with the lowest GAA as well as take home the trophy for the top Goaltender in the league. Who do you have? Do you think Funk should win as he had more votes than Davison for the Most Outstanding Player. I would love to know how. Leave comments!

Doesn't his back hurt? Looking at the standings, Davos was league best in goals against, but 4th worst in goals for. Somehow they make it to 5th place, oh that's because they have the best goalie in the league in Finn Davison. Not to mention the 10 shutouts is borderline unfathomable.

10 shutouts isn't an insane number here (or at least it wasn't in the past, I dunno about now) but yeah overall Davison is the clear winner and probably deserves some MVP love too.
