A light source towards the middle of the sig would have helped as the lightest parts of the render are moving towards the darkest parts of the sig, and also using a layer bucket-filled with a light blue on lighten at low opacity would help cut into the issue of the red jersey clashing against the blue background. I like the background on v2 and it works well with the text and player. Great job.
