Last night the Vancouver Wolves and Greg Eagles have announced that he has signed a new long term contract.

The contract is rumored to be a 3 year extension that will take Eagles to Season 73 which would be his 7th year in the league. The contract also included a NTC in S71. Salary was not disclosed but it is rumored that a nice pay bump was achieved but that Eagles also took a slight hometown discount so that the Wolves can remain competitive.

Fans and management were delighted that the Wolves #1 goalie has committed to the team for the foreseeable future.

Greg Eagles posted his best ever stats last season and this season he was entering the final year of his contract. Rumors were swirling that the Wolves might not have had the cap space to re-sign Eagles but both parties managed to make it work.

The Wolves now has a starter for the foreseeable future and a mentor for the up and coming prospect Spyro. While Eagles achieves what he wanted in the off-season and that was certainty of staying long term in Vancouver
