As we gear up for season 71 with a number of players playing their rookie season, one of the Legion's prospects will be thrown right from the frying pan into the fire. Of course the Storm were a fantastic team and won the cup, they were a very hard working team that wasn't just carried by the skill of the players unlike the Season 69 Saskatoon Wild team. Hextall worked hard in Minnesota as the goalie of the team and as the captain but he's gonna have to work even harder in Toronto. Toronto is still rebuilding and as some of the prospects haven't worked out that has delayed things even longer. The legion will need another season or 2 to really start going assuming they draft good and get a few good free agents that stay active. Hextall has been an absolute workhorse since coming into the league, joining the Halifax in Season 69 he would take over from Boris Boris and play the final 32 games and surprisingly was the starter for the playoffs playing all 11 games. After the S70 draft Hextall stayed in the VHLM to hone his skills some more and played all 72 games for the Storm and 15 in the playoffs. Lets not forget he also played 6 WJC games as well. In about a season and a half Hextall has played 136 games, Hextall has proved he can handle a heavy workload and the Legion are gonna need him at his best for every game he starts.
