Calgary Personality 1: Favorite VHL moment and why

Hello guys this is Calgary News and today we sat down members of the Wranglers to see what their favorite VHL moment was and why. 
 

Jubis: so far, getting drafted by Calgary . WHY: In the 2 weeks prior to the draft I gained 130 ish tpe and worked extremely hard doing everything I could to climb the draft rankings. Continuously checking in and seeing my player leap frog many players. That would pump me up and I would find more ways to gain TPE. Went from a late 2nd round - early 3rd rounder to a projected 10th overall pick in a matter of less than 15 days. I had been messaged by only Riga abd DC I was projected to be selected 10th overall by Riga. I remember really liking what Enorama had to say tho. I messaged him before the draft telling him DC would be my #1 choice. Fastforward 1 hour before the s69 draft Bushito messages me, we have a conversation. He proceeded to tell me he is going to select me 5th overall. I remember being shocked but honestly I was beyond ecstatic. I had not thought playing for Calgary was an option. Bushito was willing to take a chance on me and that was enough for me to want to prove the haters wrong. I remember watching the live draft and seeing myself being drafted 5th overall. Esso said: " Jubis at 5th WTF?? ,well ok " but honestly I didnt care these guys were hating. This was my happiest VHL moment. SUMMARY: favourite VHL moment = being drafted by Calgary.

 

LaFontaine: Favorite Moment: Getting my first win as a Calgary Wrangler. People and even I were wondering if I was the real deal. Was my success just because of my amazing team? That was the question flying through my head until I proved that I could win.

Rice: Becoming the AGM of the Yukon Rush. As much as I’ve loved the success of my player being apart of the Calgary Wranglers, it still isn’t my favourite. Becoming AGM has been my favourite experience so far. I really like interacting with new players and working hard to try to create better retention for this league. I feel more involved with the process of how a team is run and the people you get to meet along the way make it the whole experience that much better.

 

Mexican Cow: getting to hire such a great AGM

 

Gunnar: Probably joining the team, and the reason being is because I’ve met a great cast of guys and I’ve made a ton of friends and a VHL family along the way, and the guys are really nice and helpful to talk to, and being the captain you learn some and teach some.
