Well, we're back in the VHL.com Articles section, and we're here to stay. 3/29 was a busy week in terms of new players, so let's just get straight to it.

RISER OF THE WEEK

LVA_bar.png General Zod - D - 173 TPE

Currently my sixth ranked prospect, General Zod is a defensive defenseman who also excels in transitioning the puck quickly up the ice. His 41 hits in just 17 games showcases his physical play style, and his 17 assists are a result of his puck moving ability. His TPE earning has been very consistent, claiming 69 of a possible 72 capped TPE so far, as well as never dipping below 13 TPE in any given week to date. Zod has risen this week because of his consistency, and that is something a VHL GM is glad to see in a prospect of his caliber. I look forward to seeing more from the American defenseman, and there's no doubt he's one of the best prospects in the S72 draft class as of now.

A bit of a new look for the numbers. I wanted to track the movement up and down the top 10 in the major stat categories, so I made it into a spreadsheet, and that made the table look a bit different.

ACHIEVEMENT  CENTRE’S PLAYER OF THE WEEK

OSL_bar.png Robin Winter - LW - 230 TPE

Left winger Robin Winter has been a must-see prospect since I started covering this draft, ranking as the second best player in every single week so far. That has been well-deserved, as Winter is a future VHL superstar. His build is very well put together, being a good skater, a responsible defensive player, and above all, a deadly scorer. This comes together as a package that is difficult to deal with for other teams, and a big reason why he has put up a staggering 1.88 P/GP pace so far in S71. The American forward can assemble this effective build because of his remarkable TPE earning. He has not missed one capped TPE to date, and has put up under 20 only one time in his six full weeks. It's obvious that any team would be thrilled to land a player like Winter.
