With the season over, free agency season looms large, and pending FA ACL TEAR, after informing the last team to employ his services, the Malmo Nighthawks, of his intentions to sign with his 7th team in 6 seasons, has been told that the team will be releasing him from his final days of contractual requirements, making him an Unrestricted Free Agent, able to negotiate with teams, days before the rest of the group.

 

In terms of potential destinations, ACL is looking primarily for a team that he has yet to play for, as he chases the record for teams played on in a career. Aside from that stipulation, TEAR is open to anything, including a move to defence (if a team is willing to pay above the minimum, needed to afford the position switch).

If a player is released, they’re free to talk. It’s only illegal to talk to a player who is under contract.
