After training hard this offseason, Jimmy Spyro has been spotted at the airport gates near Vancouver after a flight from his hometown. After a 2nd round exit, the Wolves organization named him the team’s next starter, and so we have heard reports of Spyro continuing his regular training regiment at full force in his hometown for the offseason. Upon his return for Training Camp, he seemed more than motivated to live up to his new role and even more so to prove that he has earned his place. The players and management took a big notice to this and decided to nominate him for captaincy before the season begins, where after an organization wide vote he was voted in as one of the new Wolves Assistant Captain’s for S72 for the first time in his career. After one of the Wolves practices, a reporter approached Spyro for a statement on the upcoming season: “I’m very eager for the season to start but I’ve also been making use of my time to stay in top form. Our team looks good this season with lots of young talent to compliment the vets- and I know everyone has been giving it their all to be ready for the season opener.” A few of the players around the league (along with many many fans) have their eyes on Spyro this season to see if he can live up to all the expectations and new responsibilities placed on him.
