d3vilsfire 132 Posted May 26, 2014 Share Posted May 26, 2014 RG3 and KJA gazing at the ice from the bench during a Riga game If anyone has been keeping up with the locker room rumors in Riga, it has been a little heated. Several key players of a strong Riga roster do not seem to be performing when they need to. This includes both RG3 and rookie Konstantin Azhishchenkov. RG3 is a VHL veteran of 3 years and has dedicated himself to mastering the art of goal scoring. However, this training has proved to be futile as he has not scored a goal yet this season already 17 games into it. Rookie Konstantin Azhishchenkov has also seen a huge drop in production since his VHLM years. The young rookie only has 2 points, though he has more goals than RG3 with 1, in 17 games. This low production is not what Azhishchenkov or Riga expected when one of their top prospects finally arrived in Riga. However, unlike RG3, Azhishchenkov has not been many minutes to shine, so the jury is still out there for Azhishchenkov to turn around his rookie season.
