Heading into the Season 72 Playoffs, we get another chance to see if one of the VHL's most unusual trends will repeat itself. While Bushito has been gone from the league the last month due to personal issues, an interim GM for the Calgary Wranglers has been assigned in the form of R_Jubis. This marks the third time in the VHL's history that a GM or interim GM has been officially assigned to cover for Bushito in the middle of a season, with the most intriguing element of this being that both of those previous teams (HC Davos in S31, Seattle in S43) would go on to win the Continental Cup in the same season that the new/interim GM was installed. Given that neither of these teams were going in as Victory Cup winners going into their respective playoffs (in fact Seattle had the lowest points total out of all the teams who made the playoffs in S43), it will be interesting to see if the Victory Cup winning Calgary Wranglers will continue the trend.
