Season 73 Saskatoon Wild Captains

Tonight, on the eve of the beginning of the Saskatoon Wild's defense of the Founder's Cup, the time has come to announce the captains of the Season 73 team. All three of them are returning members of our championship team from last season, ready to add one more ring to their collections before moving on to the VHL.

Our first alternate captain to be named is no stranger to Saskatoon. Although nine regular season games and eighteen playoff games isn't exactly much of a sample size on the ice, it was enough to become an important part of the Saskatoon locker room and culture. Looking back, it's hard believe it's been that short of a time since her arrival, but I can't picture this locker room without her. Give it up for Emi Rune!! @Emi

Our second alternate captain to be named is a player that flew under the radar last season, but there will be no hiding from him this season. The man who set the bar for loyalty in the VHL performed very well in a supporting role, but now he's ready to be the man for Saskatoon. Everything that an AGM/GM could ask for in a player, the VHLM better be watching out for Dan Baillie Jr!! @wcats

Our captain needs no introduction, as he returns to lead Saskatoon as the C for the second straight season. He got it done in Season 72, and we have all the faith in the world that we're going to do it again in Season 73! An integral part of Saskatoon's locker room culture, we sure are glad he decided to come back to the VHL for another go. Ladies and gentlemen, your captain, Keith Krestanovich!! @Boragina

Congratulations to all three of you, and thank you to each of you for all you have done and will continue to do to make the Saskatoon Wild such a great team to be a part of. Let's go get that Cup again!!

Happy & Honoured to be an assistant captain of the team.

I'm always learning with this league but I hope to be able to be a leading force in the locker room going forward.
