gregreg 930
Quebec (HSK) - (RW) Jackson Miller With the first pick the Helsinki Titans take Jackson Miller, he is the top TPE earner and is one of the few members left from S1. Even though Beketov hasn’t had a “great” player in a while, I think Miller will be one of his better ones so this pick should be easy for the rebuilding Titans Helsinki - (C ) Tyson Stokes With the 2nd pick the Titans select Tyson Stokes. The Titans can go with a lot of players at number 2 but I think they go with Stokes because of the time fever spent in Helsinki with his first player. Stokes has the TPE to be selected here and with the loyalty factored in it’s almost a lock he will be a Titan again. Cologne - (LW) Andrew Erikson With the 3rd pick the Express select Andrew Erikson. This was a tough pick to make on my end as I wasn’t sure who fit in with the Express but I ended up going with Erikson mostly because I’m a big fan of eQ and I think he can help the Express in the long term. Calgary - (D) Koji Yamazaki With the 4th pick the Wranglers select Koji Yamazki. I believe Yamazaki will be one of the best players out of this draft and could go higher but right now I have him going to Calgary where he can help the Wranglers get back into the playoffs. Seattle (HSK) - (LW) James Faraday With the 5th pick the Titans take James Faraday. Easy pick as the former Titans GM retires to join a draft with half of the first round pick belonging to the Titans. STZ is jumping for joy to have his former GM back. Higgins 3,618
Good mock draft. Some people think Miller will drop, but it was a series of unfortunate events in Cologne for him that caused him to have limited success and end up without a team to play on so he retired early. If anyone has something to prove it's him after Chekhov was mostly overlooked. True, I was basically willing to let him go for free if there was a team that would give him a better chance at winning while we entered our rebuild, bust no takers . I'm sure he will do great with his new player, Chekhovs relative lack of success certainly wasn't because of a lack of commitment.
