TheLastOlympian07 2,388
GM: Austin Gow (432/212/190/30/454) Former GM(s): Jardy Bunclewirth (504/172/307/25/369) Jason Glasser (1080/547/456/67/1,161) Record (after S20): 2,016 GP | 931 W | 953 L | 122 OTL | 2,004 P | 5,773 GF | 6,518 GA Playoff Record (after S20): 176 GP | 96 W | 65 L | 15 OTL | 4-1 vs TOR, 4-2 vs QUE, 4-5 vs NYA, 2-2 vs SEA, 1-0 vs DAV, 1-0 vs COL, 1-3 vs HEL Season 47 VHL Entry Draft N/A Trades (Regular Season): To LW Freedom McJustice To Season 48 Calgary 1st Round Draft Pick (C Pavel Komarov) Season 49 Quebec 2nd Round Draft Pick (C Sebastian Laine) HC Davos Dynamo GM: Spencer Flammer Calgary Wranglers GM: Austin Gow @chatfan036 I forget the username that was Spencer Flammer, he used to have a pet lizard though, I remember that. In this trade, McJustice was traded from a rebuilding Davos team to a somewhat contending Wranglers team? Weird trade but was probably the best one for Davos. McJustice put up 12 points in 20 regular season games after being acquired. Season 47 Regular Season - 72 GP | 37 W | 29 L | 6 OTL | 80 P | 174 GF | 170 GA Well this was certainly a down season compared to the last 3 which ended up with the Wranglers going to the finals. The team finished 3rd and wouldn't have home ice advantage in the Conference Semi-Finals for the first time in 3 seasons. Tim TebowGow continued to grow into a great player as he lead the team in scoring with 97 points. Other than Shadu Rathod Jr (78) and FYM (65), no other Wrangler had more than 60 points with the team. Bernie Gow continued his average ways with the Wranglers, must like his whole career with a .908 save percentage and a 2.26 G.A.A. There was some expected bumps after three straight appearances in the final but this season was just a drag I bet for Calgary. Season 47 Playoffs - 12 GP | 7 W | 5 L | 0 OTL Calgary conceded home in all series' thanks to a tie breaker against Seattle. However, the Wranglers seemed to have picked up their games heading into the Playoffs as they would take the first two games in Seattle with an OT winner from trade deadline pickup Freedom McJustice. The Bears would take game 3 in Calgary but from there it was all Wranglers. The Wranglers would win 2-1 and 3-1 in the final two games to move on to face their rivals in the New York Americans. This would be the 9th series the Wranglers and Americans would face eachother in. To this point it was 4-4 tie straight down the middle. Going to New York for the first two games would always be tough but the Wranglers made it work winning both games by a score of 5-2. The Wranglers went back to Calgary hoping to add to their series lead but lost a tightly contested Game 3 2-1 before losing Game 4 as well 5-3. So now this series was a best of 3 heading back to New York for Game 5. The Wranglers were on the verge of shocking the world with a 3-1 win in New York. Bernie Gow was steady in net with a 25 save performance. Freedom McJustice and Tim TeBowGow were huge with goals in the 3rd, their 6th and 3rd respectively. Game 6 back in New York was a chance for Calgary to make it 4 straight final appearances but Blake Campbell shut the door with a 3-0 win. Back to New York we go for a winner take all game. Every game won in this series was won on the road. That was a good sign for Calgary heading into the game. Calgary was cruising with 2-0 lead with less than half the third to go. That is when Thomas O'Malley scored with 4 minutes left in the game to make it 2-1. Edwin Reencarncion scored almost 2 minutes after that to make it a 2-2 game. With 6 seconds left, Jorma Ruutu shocked the VHL landscape with an amazing comeback and won Game 7 for the Americans to send them to the Continental Cup finals. Trades (off-season): To Season 49 New York 2nd Round Draft Pick (RW Jake Steel) Season 50 New York 2nd Round Draft Pick (D Luke Matthews) To D - Kerkko Hyvarinen Calgary Wranglers GM: Austin Gow New York Americans GM: Ron Dayne III To RW - Pete Stockton Season 49 Toronto 1st Round Pick (LW LW Kendrick E. Tsbagsuph-Diks) Season 49 Toronto 2nd Round Pick (RW Kevin Jalopski) To RW Jack Kowalski LW Benjamin Zeptenbergs D Francis York Morgan Calgary Wranglers GM: Austin Gow Toronto Legion GM: Mike Molholt @Molholt To Season 49 Cologne 2nd Round Pick (RW Alokin Alset) To Cologne RW Pete Stockton Calgary Wranglers GM: Austin Gow Cologne Express GM: Greg Harbinson @gregreg To Season 49 New York 1st Round Pick (C Kai Roberts) To LW - Freedom McJustice Calgary Wranglers GM: Austin Gow New York Americans GM: Ron Dayne III The great fire sale of Calgary happened in the Season 47 off-season. Everybody who had any value at all was traded for picks. Players who were acquired by Toronto and had value were also traded like Pete Stockton who was a Wrangler for about 10 minutes. I forget who Ron Dayne III is, I almost want to say Muff but that isn't him. His username total escapes me right now. Freedom McJustice, Pete Stockton, Jack Kowalski, Benjamin Zeptenbergs, Francis York Morgan and Kerkko Hyvarinen are all gone. Traded for picks to help a rebuild because I believe Bernie Gow retired and instead of carrying on, Calgary looked at the writing on the wall seeing as they couldn't compete with Seattle, New York and Toronto in the NA Conference past this season. So GM Austin Gow made the choice to pack it in after 1 championship, 3 final appearances and 1 game 7 loss to New York this past season. What could have been if Calgary didn't blow the 2-0 lead with less than half a period to go in Game 7. Awards: N/A Overall: Marcus Hurley is just the 4th player to break 500 career points in a Wranglers uniform. He joins elite company such as Rybak, Marcellin and Chersenko. He is also the 3rd highest goal scorer with 248 behind Rybak and Chersenko. Tim TebowGow moves into 10th overall making him the 10th player to break 300 career points. Jaimie Hill is 21st with 210 points making her the 23rd player to break 200 points. She is the 6th defenseman to break that mark as well. Rathod Jr, barely missed out on being in the top 25 with his 176 points making him 26. Hyvarinen broke 100 career points making him the 42nd player to do so as he has 108. Bernie Gow moved to 5th with 46 wins, but his 0.912 save percentage makes him the worst non tanking goalie in Wranglers history. He is the 6th goalie to reach double digit shutouts though, so that means something. Marcus Hurley moves into a tie with Clark Marcellin for 4th all time in points with 59. Hurley is also 3rd all time in goals with 29. Tim TebowGow moves up to 5th with 53 points. Jaimie Hill moves up to 10th all time with 35 points. Rathod Jr and Hyvarinen are 13th and 14th with 24 and 23 points. Bernie Gow is 2nd in wins with 16, 5th in save percentage with a 0.921. Calgary is going through a rebuild, we shall see what the next few seasons bring us. Ahma 1,428
I was Davos GM for one season. My GM name was Spencer Flammer. I had a pet lizard. I'm disappointed you forgot me, TLO.
