  1. 2 correct answers = 2 capped TPE 1 correct answer = 1 capped TPE Uncapped TPE based on season leaderboard handed out at end of season. Link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc9-fRkub5nQP0UVyd3qUMdbangy7umJPYyryULtAZKGSqF8A/viewform?usp=sf_link
  2. Oh yeah, 1 uncapped to @Enorama for q2
  3. 1. Franchise Cornerstone's 855 career points are good for first all-time according to the portal. Where does he actually rank over the VHL's full 67 seasons? The Portal is merely a snippet of VHL's history and while Franchise Cornerstone is the highest scorer in the last 20 or so seasons, he was some way off the 900, 1,000, and even 1,200 points of past greats. As per link below, Cornerstone's total puts him at a very respectable 13th all time. https://vhlforum.com/topic/347-vhl-career-stats-updated-for-s67/ 2. When was the playoff MVP co-won for the first time? I'm not sure if an odd number of people voted for awards in the early days, but there never seemed to be a tie for a while. Then in S16 Riga and Toronto fought through a 7-game Continental Cup finals and though Riga prevailed, its captain, defenceman Kaiser Straf shared the Howe Trophy with Toronto's Zak Rawlyk (who actually once scored a Game 7 OT winner for Riga against Toronto as a rookie). 2 capped TPE goes to: Beketov @Beketov gorlab @gorlab trevmi @trevmi McWolf @McWolf Tuktukthegreat @TukTukTheGreat Edustava @Edustava Omgitshim @omgitshim Sharkstrong @Sharkstrong Enorama @Enorama Tate @Tate FrostBeard @FrostBeard Elmebeck @Elmebeck Poptart @Poptart Sixersfan549 @Sixersfan549 Joubo @Joubo frescoelmo @frescoelmo majesiu @majesiu AndrewWarren13 @AndrewWarren13 Jtv123 @Jtv123 Steve @Steve DoktorFunk @DoktorFunk Matt_O @Matt_O Zeno @Zeno enigmatic @enigmatic DMaximus @DMaximus hulkhogan @HulkHogan Quik @Quik BladeMaiden @BladeMaiden Jubo07 @Jubo07 Green @Green VanCanWin @VanCanWin Saelven88 @Saelven88 DizzyWithLogic @DizzyWithLogic Mr_Hatter @Mr_Hatter jack @jack PotatoKing @PotatoKing Matmenzinger @Matmenzinger Acydburn @Acydburn HenrikZoiderberg @HenrikZoiderberg DilIsPickle @DilIsPickle Rayzor_7 @Rayzor_7 Psanchez55 @Psanchez55 nethi99 @nethi99 fonziGG @fonziGG dylanjj37 @dylanjj37 Dalton Wilcox @Dalton Wilcox 73MPL4R @73MPL4R Mini Muu @Mini Muu hewasajazzman @hewasajazzman Oilmandan @oilmandan Grape @Grape bluesfan55 @bluesfan55 Beaviss @Beaviss philliefan @Philliefan ItsMcLovin @ItsMcLovin sjs88speed @sjs88speed Infernal @Infernal wcats @wcats metaltoday @MetalToday Hughjas_ @HughJas_ Fire_In_Babylon @Fire_In_Babylon .sniffuM @.sniffuM MexicanCow123 @MexicanCow123 11 Eleven @11 Eleven Kekzkrieg @Kekzkrieg Big Mac @Big Mac GustavMattias @GustavMattias TheLastOlympian07 @TheLastOlympian07 studentized @studentized Motzaburger @Motzaburger Velevra @Velevra Telkster @Telkster DollarAndADream @DollarAndADream TacticalHammer @TacticalHammer stevo @stevo Jaku @Jaku Dominus89 @Dominus89 Brrbisbrr @Brrbisbrr Higgins @Higgins Psyduck77 @Psyduck77 rjfryman @rjfryman Esso2264 @Esso2264 NumberJ5 @NumberJ5 okocha5 @okocha5 barzalgoat @BarzalGoat Greg_Di @Greg_Di jRuutu @jRuutu GRZ @GRZ Kyle @Kyle SidTheKid87 @SidTheKid87 Renomitsu @Renomitsu Josh @Josh STZ @STZ Berocka @berocka Banana2311 @Banana2311 Liberty_Cabbage @Liberty_Cabbage JeffD @JeffD CowboyinAmerica @CowboyinAmerica Smarch @Smarch Bruins10 @Bruins10 sebster03 @Sebster03 SlapshotDragon @SlapshotDragon Motzaburger @Motzaburger flyersfan1453 @flyersfan1453 okocha5 @okocha5 Patpou22 @Patpou22 hedgehog337 @hedgehog337 Xdpark @xDParK elrune1988 @elrune1988 Briedaqueduc @Briedaqueduc Sonnet @Sonnet Sebster03 @Sebster03 leafsman @leafsman Anthony Matthews @Anthony Matthews Chillzone @chillzone 1 capped TPE goes to: Donno100 @Donno100 Midnite @Midnite
  4. Davos still paying Simon back for the unreal S11-S39 luck.
  5. All fun and games but at the end of the day no one is willing to seriously think about awards voting despite us having a designated awards committee to do exactly that. Multiple people didn’t even reply to every discussion topic in their forum which I feel should be a requirement.
  6. Multis don’t count
  7. 1 and 2. Irrelevant 3. 163-109 = 54, Moscow's 250 goals - Vancouver's 233 = 17 so that's almost the same point as #5. 4. Addressed already, doesn't matter 5. 1% difference, next 6. Valid point, but still not as much as second-liner Palo
  8. So I would like to preface this with an overdue congratulations to Rauno Palo @jRuutu and Veran Dragomir @Velevra, two of the unluckiest players I have witnessed who finally got some well deserved awards at the end of the S67 regular season, splitting the Szatkowski, Brooks, and Beketov Trophies. It would have been great to grab another couple of those for Cast, but hey, I've had my share. That said, you two are now in the way of the big one – the Scotty Campbell Trophy. Cast has two of those already and it has come to my attention that a third one is not as clear-cut as I thought after a as-unbiased-as-possible assessment of the S67 stats. Here's what I found: Cast was by far his team's leader in points, ahead of anyone else in the league. It has already earned him the highly prestigious Biggest Backpack Award, which might as well be MVP in many seasons. Cast had a league-leading 1.18 points per game, a whopping 0.14 ahead of Palo, making by far the most of his ice time on a deep Moscow roster Palo spent his entire season on Vancouver's second line, playing against easier matchups. His top line center, Beau Louth, was third in league scoring, hardly a large enough gap to call either one of them MVP. So to me that's already enough arguments really. The one I've heard used against Cast so far is “lack of physicality”. Well first of all, I don't like hits being thrown into conversations outside of the Labatte/Boulet/Wylde at the best of times, let alone when it's being used against my own player. But more importantly, Palo isn't some checking god. 95 hits vs 19 is not the difference between MVP or not, unless you believe 1 extra hit per game is why Vancouver finished a whole two points ahead of Moscow at the end of the season. And of course, “lack of physicality” hasn't figured in the MVP conversation in the past. Thomas O'Malley won 3 Scotty Campbell Trophies and he had 50 hits in his whole career. I've actually tried my best to not push any Cast agenda throughout his career, largely because I wasn't even intending to be massively active when I came back. But I think it would be a gross injustice if he were not be named VHL MVP in S67, unless anyone has any other counter-arguments I'm missing. @Award Committee @Sonnet @Phil @DilIsPickle @Peace @Jubo07 @JeffD @Enorama
  9. Fuck all these teams in equal measure.
  10. Everyone had a go at commishing before they were like “k you can have it now Beks”
  11. Olympus is falling, I repeat, Olympus is falling
  12. So all that good stuff against Calgary, Kingfisher just forgot about?
  13. I didn't ban him for the quality of the article, just its location. I believe in laissez-faire Fan 590 democracy.
  14. It was actually VHL.com | XM Radio, with the Radio referring to podcasts, and then XM Radio was cut. I think that always annoyed me more, because VHL.com was the title from before you joined.
  15. Worrying posts considering I'm going to Sydney for like 4 days in a month and in my mind thought that'd be the highlight as opposed to Melbourne (where I'm also going).
  16. Random ass third liners popping up in Game 7 for Vancouver since S66. Great goaltending battle this series, you’ll both be going straight into that spreadsheet @BladeMaiden RIP Spade
  17. Goaltending went to shit here after an unreal first five games.
  18. Kriketers really came to play this series. Fair enough, good series Riga, we’ll be back next season.
  19. At last you understand.
  20. How many Louths does it take to get into the Hall of Fame?
  21. That’s completely gay
  22. Biggest bromance in VHL history. ?
