1. I quite liked when we had two lines very close to each other in points halfway through the season but yeah not gonna lie it’s a boost. Personally think Cast for MVP should be a no brainer but might be wrong. 2. Unlikely. Maybe if I didn’t protect Cast I’d have a chance but that’s not a risk I’m willing to take. 3. Nah I think he has a point to prove to Riga. 4. Definitely Toronto if they avoid facing Calgary and Moscow. Also Helsinki naturally, best roster on paper, barely changed since last year, maybe even better with Wilinsky. 5. This offseason won’t be the massive cull, but still a few bodies will be dropped which is always good fun. 6. It would be nice to face the Nighthawks in the playoffs at some point. But equally I’d love it if they were always a step behind us.

We’ll take it, all to play for.

1. How many different nationalities are represented in the VHL Hall of Fame? Some of you might have gone through the entire Hall of Fame manually finding the answers, others might have noticed that I recently posted a Media Spot with a spreadsheet where it's all been done for you: https://vhlforum.com/topic/67176-world-cup-teams-made-up-of-hall-of-famers/ Either way, the answer is 28 nationalities (and even more if you split UK into Scotland and England. Which I didn't). 2. In what year was the VHL founded? (1 uncapped TPE to @Gscx420) Pretty common knowledge, it was just over 12 years ago, in July 2007. If you didn't know and didn't ask one of the old farts like Beketov or Quik, many of the builder articles, like scotty's, slobo's, or Brooks', among others, would have given you the answer. 2 capped TPE goes to: Greg_Di @Greg_Di bluesfan55 @bluesfan55 Phil @Phil McWolf @McWolf Beketov @Beketov rjfryman @rjfryman frescoelmo @frescoelmo philliefan @Philliefan Motzaburger @Motzaburger ItsMcLovin @ItsMcLovin Jbeezy76 @Jbeezy76 TheLastOlympian07 @TheLastOlympian07 Tbeez99 @Tbeez99 metaltoday @MetalToday 73MPL4R @73MPL4R chillzone @chillzone Snussu @Snussu Theflash @TheFlash Bruins10 @Bruins10 Matt_O @Matt_O elrune1988 @elrune1988 Rayzor_7 @Rayzor_7 DoktorFunk @DoktorFunk Hulkhogan @HulkHogan trevmi @trevmi GustavMattias @GustavMattias Mr_Hatter @Mr_Hatter TukTukTheGreat @TukTukTheGreat Ace @Ace enigmatic @enigmatic Oilmandan @oilmandan DizzyWithLogic @DizzyWithLogic Telkster @Telkster Enorama @Enorama jack @jack Tate @Tate Dominus89 @Dominus89 studentized @studentized CowboyinAmerica @CowboyinAmerica HenrikZoiderberg @HenrikZoiderberg Kekzkrieg @Kekzkrieg Brrbisbrr @Brrbisbrr nethi99 @nethi99 VanCanWin @VanCanWin Liberty_Cabbage @Liberty_Cabbage sjs88speed @sjs88speed Steve @Steve fonziGG @fonziGG Velevra @Velevra gorlab @gorlab berocka @berocka Banana2311 @Banana2311 Saelven88 @Saelven88 Joubo @Joubo jack @jack Kyle @Kyle Jubo07 @Jubo07 Patpou22 @Patpou22 Jaku @Jaku MexicanCow123 @MexicanCow123 Matmenzinger @Matmenzinger Hughjas_ @HughJas_ Green @Green Fire_In_Babylon @Fire_In_Babylon Psyduck77 @Psyduck77 Josh @Josh MMFLEX @MMFLEX FrostBeard @FrostBeard dylanjj37 @dylanjj37 Sixersfan549 @Sixersfan549 Dalton Wilcox @Dalton Wilcox Jtv123 @Jtv123 Elmebeck @Elmebeck FerdaJets @FerdaJets Nykonax @Nykonax Omgitshim @omgitshim wcats @wcats STZ @STZ TacticalHammer @TacticalHammer DilIsPickle @DilIsPickle BladeMaiden @BladeMaiden Edustava @Edustava Sharkstrong @Sharkstrong DollarAndADream @DollarAndADream Mach @MacH Bushito @Bushito Acydburn @Acydburn DMaximus @DMaximus Juddy @Juddy Infernal @Infernal Renomitsu @Renomitsu xdpark @xDParK GRZ @GRZ Zeno @Zeno .sniffuM @.sniffuM Renomitsu @Renomitsu Mini Muu @Mini Muu flyersfan1453 @flyersfan1453 hedgehog337 @hedgehog337 aCrypticPancake @aCrypticPancake mmarcoux98 @mmarcoux98 cody73 @cody73 Sonnet @Sonnet SidTheKid87 @SidTheKid87 Rayzor_7 @Rayzor_7 Higgins @Higgins Esso2264 @Esso2264 sebster03 @Sebster03 no_dangles @No_Dangles Jeff @JeffD eaglesfan036 @eaglesfan036 Grape @Grape okocha5 @okocha5 Kylrad @Kylrad leafsman @leafsman Quik @Quik 1 capped TPE goes to: Midnite @Midnite Poptart @Poptart Walter Fizz @Walter Fizz

S67 All-Star Game General Manager Vote / Player Selections
Victor replied to Beaviss's topic in Announcements
He's been with us since expansion and has just had his breakthrough year, it's time for Dan Baillie to go to the All-Star Game! @wcats -
Moscow is ready for playoff hockey.
-
It was Squinty wasn’t it
-
Riga is one of the few teams which had our number this season, hence I probably agree. That said, if Europe actually wants to provide a serious threat to Toronto in the finals, they should let us through.

This required research and citing sources. I think this showed more effort than most 590s.

Who's Here to Stay? S67/68 Expansion Edition
Victor replied to Renomitsu's topic in Archived Media Spots
That is a lot of references to my article I didn’t even like writing that much. I should note that Pavlov is the GM player, not Cast, and I did toy with the idea of letting him go and see if one of the expansion teams takes him for the trade value. Probably won’t risk it though haha. Tocco isn’t going anywhere though, @Matmenzinger is an absolute steal. -
Words about llamas, expansion, and why toffee sucks
Victor replied to .sniffuM's topic in Archived Media Spots
Came for the llamas, false advertising -
I’ve already resigned myself to the MVP. Hopefully.

1. Oof, tough one. I like to keep them at a reasonably similar level and the point is it must be possible to find them on the site/portal, so they're all inherently not TOO obscure. That said, my favourite one to devise was the one about the S43 Bears a couple seasons back, where there were many odd things about that team but the unique one was that they won the cup as the 3rd seed in the conference but that was quite a logical puzzle. 2. This is an even better question haha. There's one called 'HOF players per cup champion' which also includes own draft picks per cup champion (i.e. how many homegrown players) which has been sat there for over a year now waiting to be turned into a Media Spot. There's only called 'Hall of Famers by team', i.e. which team had the most HOFers make an appearance for them, which I have no idea if I'll ever use. And I just found one about retired numbers which I think I should revisit soon. And I just got down to the start of 2019 in my drive so there's probably more weird shit lower down. 3. I was actually a really bad drafter back in S15-S16 with New York so I defended against that by basically trading for the entirety of the S36-S39 Davos team (the only draft pick there was a 1st overall goalie in Lennox Moher, pretty easy pick). So it's probably going to turn out to be someone from this Moscow stint. I am really pleased with Jet Jaguar so far to be honest at 10th overall. Honourable mention though to my very first pick, Patrick Bergqvist second overall in S15. Was BPA but also an unknown first-gen who turned out to be a good friend and valued VHL member, Leeroy Jenkins being his next player. 4. Oh, loads of options. The single worst one was probably Jordan Berglund 1st overall in S17, after deciding for days if I should go for him or Markus Strauss. One ended up in the HOF and it wasn't Berglund. But basically every pick I made in S17, the very next selection was the better player. It was a horrendous draft, I ended up resigning about a week later, not because of that, but kinda glad I did haha. 5. I knew it was very likely I'd need more defencemen so yeah, I was keeping the possibility open. If I was gonna stick at center, I was just going to throw a lot of VHLM banked TPE into faceoffs last off-season, but after getting Cast with Jaguar and Gebauer already on board I really didn't need a center. 6. Not a concern at all, he's here to get points on the board and throughout his career no one's been better at it.

Nice 1 goal
