Another month, another week off it seems. And now, despite a fairly quiet couple of months coming up after returning from a trip to Paris, the motivation to do VHL stuff just isn't there.
It's kind of weird. For four and a half years now I've consistently (ignoring the now-becoming-more-frequent days/weeks off) written a MS on the weekend, submitted it on Monday and wrote 200ish words for 1 TPE at the same time. The rest of the week on the VHL could be spent post whoring and doing pseudo-helpful shit. Now though, as a result of several factors, including the brief site collapse, I have written two or three articles since August. A 590 written on a Sunday just before the PT week ends? Nonsensical.
Yet it's true. Four players in, a return to GMing, lots of personal and team achievements in the past, and the experience of so much in the league, there really is little left to strive for. Of course, considering leaving the league is not an option, at least not during this player's rookie season and not while a commissioner but it's becoming a more and more viable idea.
Time is needed. Nonetheless, there may be a considerable break forthcoming after Matt Bentley's career. We'll see.
