  1. So if SHL was havning issues up until a little while ago, they certainly did something right witht he influx of members.

VHL peeps need to jump on this train!

SHL never really had a problem. We just got more active than we were in this past year. SHL was already pretty active.

Unfortunately that influx only yielded terrible members like Cail, Jala and Bojo.

  2. Today is a big day for GFW and it's today that I will decide if I'll watch or not. Chael Sonnen is rumoured to be one of the commentators, I never heard him do the NJPW shows, but he has to be good, so that's a plus. Jim Cornette is helping JJ which is huge minus for me and probably everyone.

Roderick Strong is pretty much confirmed to be on the roster and that's it. Really want to see guys like Trevor Lee, Chuck Taylor, Joey Ryan, Candice LeRae, Chris Hero, Colt Cabana, etc.. on there. Roster reveal is in less than an hour and I can't wait.

    Chris Hero looks flabby now.

  3. Jed Mosley Rookie Profile

    GOOSECOLUMB.jpg

    Name: Jed Mosley

    Position: Defense

    Height: 6'2"

    Weight: 210

    Born: Atlanta Georgia

    VHLM Team: Bern Royals

Jed Mosley is a budding superstar just waiting to blossom in the VHLM. He began Hockey in his teens and was quick to understand the game and break it down and slow it down at an almost slow motion pace. He was born and raised in a non-traditional hockey market hailing from Atlanta Georgia. He possesses the skills of a kid who has been playing for years and he hopes to translate those skills onto the score sheet and eventually the record books of the VHL.

    Scouting Report Pros

Jed Mosley will eventually become one of the premier two way defenders that the VHL has ever seen but for now he is accomplishing some of these traits. Mosley is fantastic at reading the play and reacting quickly in his own end. He possess a great stick which allows him to snuff out one time passes and different shots which allows the play to die down and makes the goalies life a bit easier.

Mosley also possess a fantastic nose for the goal. He has a wicked slap shot that is reminscient of Al Mcinnis or Al Iafrate. Mosley will be a power play QB almost immediately as he has that intimidating shot that will always draw the attention of the opposing teams but he also has the vision to know when to make the smart pass to put his team in a better position.

The final pro that Mosley possesses is a great breakout pass. In an era where getting out of your own zone quickly and efficiently is key, Mosley has honed that trait and carves up the opposing defenders with amazing outlet passes that lead to breakaways as well as just setting up his team for success in the offensive zone.

    Scouting Report Cons

Composure will be a big issue for the young defender that will see him struggle early on. Mosley has been known to have blowouts both on and off the ice as shown by his altercation with his former VHLM GM. Mosley may spend a lot of time in the penalty box if he can't get his emotions in check.

Physicality is also a big problem for Mosley.... The man simply cannot hit. Mosley will never be that guy that will spark a team with a big hit, nor will he muscle an opposing player off the puck with a push or a shove. While this isn't a big issue for Mosley due to his hockey IQ, it would be something nice to have when his team needs a big hit.

Finally, and probably the biggest issue that will effect Mosley's chances of making it to where the big boys play is his skating. Mosley skates like a lesser version of Ian Cole.... It isn't pretty. Mosley didn't start playing hockey till 15 and it has shown in his ability to move. He skates with two left feet and until he really dedicates himself to the art of skating, he will always be a bottom tier Defenseman.

  4. Bern - News broke out just over an hour ago that young D man Jed Mosley had been traded to Bern to play under Jalador and the Bern Royals. He moves from arguably the worst team in the VHLM to one of the better ones loaded with talent including Josh Merica and the like. Jed will most likely see a decrease in playing time going to a team loaded on the back end but he was seen with a smile on his face as he left the practice facility in Moscow to go pack. The media was awaiting him as he left the facility to get some words from the newest Roayl.

"Well I am excited to be moving on to Bern for quite a few reasons. Obviously the big one is that they are near the top of the VHLM standings and a number of my good pals throughout my days in Juniors are there. However there are a number of non-hockey related positives that will follow me to Bern. The big one being leaving Moscow. I hated it here. It was archaic, cold and boring. The streets were riddled with nesting dolls which freak me out to a point you cannot even imagine. Bern on the other hand is beautiful. It has great views and a number of mountains as well as a natural feel to it. Plus they have some of the best strip clubs this side of Europe. I cannot be more ecstatic to join Bern."
