The system, line combos and other things can give a false impression. Shawn Matthias is a good player? Or was Shawn Matthias hot and they gave him a few more minutes a game to try his luck. When they have guys who do well on the second/fourth line and deserve a contract they don't sign them (i.e. Santorelli, Raymond). Alex Edler a good player? Or a product of a coach who no longer plays there. Ownership fired AV for what exactly?

There is a reason he has had a fairly rocky road to the NHL so far, he lacks consistency. But hey continue the false hope and keep being pessimistic about a squad that sucks. I don't get it though, why complain and be angry at the team but at the same time not want them to go anywhere this year? Just let them suck. I mean as a Devils fan, we watched our team suck for so many years including present day, but we ended up on our feet and won 3 cups out of that as well.

Well they were all pretty goals, but look at who the Wolfsburg CB is...Dante. Dante can't mark a crime scene if you keep the body still on the pavement. He was horrible in Brazil's 7-1 loss to Germany and he held back Bayern, so it's a good thing he was on the other end of us again.

Flames won't repeat last year agreed, they will be better. If you haven't noticed both the Flames and Oilers enhanced their lineups drastically, something the Canucks didn't really accomplish. Not to mention Minnesota has Dybnyk locked down so he will be their starter for the year instead of just half of it. Hard to really pin any team a playoff team in the west besides Anaheim.

You do realize the draft is easy, the site calculates the totals and people can make moves. If you do it this way you will have 30 different teams to keep track of, as well as people moving players in and out. There is more chances of error. Thats why we've traditionally done it on Yahoo. Also you do have to factor in that the VHFL is on here and not everyone is a huge fan of it. Thus you'd have the same format for this and might not attract people. Sticking to yahoo is the easiest way. Plus it's not any extra work for you. Just trying to open the floor here so you can see all sides of both options.

The only thing is, if it's offline in the way VHFL is, you yourself will have to tally points each week for updates.

Thanks for the subtle shot. I mean sometimes I feel like i'm talking to someone who avoids speaking english like the plague. Maybe Semin does have an addiction or distraction, hard to judge his character if we don't know. But I guess I with hold judgement until I know the real reason. There always seems to be some underlying issue with guys that comes out after.

I watched them. They were in the post season so more spotlight because every second night is a game. I saw the same lack of effort from plenty of Habs. But using a scapegoat is what all fanbases do at times I guess.
