Congrats on a great rookie season for Brian Payne! It was a fun year, looking forward to next season in Warsaw!

Girts Galvins rookie season is in the books and while he didn't light the world on fire on the scoresheet, he had a great run with Warsaw getting some playoff experience and learning what it takes to win in the VHL. Looking ahead to his 2nd season he's more prepared and knows what to expect. He had a rough time getting going with the new attribute system but has a good plan for season 2 and re-rolling his tpe to maximize his effectiveness and add to the scoresheet much more in season two. One of the hardest working players on the team he's coming into the season with over 600tpe and should get some powerplay time this season which should help his stats and hopefully the team. Galvins was always a dynamite player on the powerplay in the VHLE and VHLM so he knows how to produce there and should be in for a good year. Hopefully Girts Galvins has a monster sophomore season for Warsaw and helps lead the them the championship. He's poised, motivated and ready for greatness!

1. Seattle seems to know how to win and had a great season, I don't know much about Banackock but team-wise if they stay together they probably have a good chance to win next season. 2. Hmm.. I don't know the players well so I'll go with whoever is the #1 tpe in each draft class. 3. Favorite off-season activity has to be golf, always enjoy spending a day outside chasing the little white ball around and of course losing a few. 1. What are you looking forward to for your player going into next season? 2. How did you like the first season with the new attributes, will you be re-rolling your tpe? 3. Favorite kind of potato chips, bran and flavor.

Congrats to my first team Vegas!

Congrats to my former team Bratislava!

This is a tough one, but I have played Skyrim more than I want to admit. I don't know tons of VHL players so I will say my teammate in Warsaw and also from Bratislava Brian Payne, he's awesome. Definitely goals, my player is a sniper so that'd be a lot of fun to lead the league. 1. Currently in the NHL playoffs it looks like Colorado will make the finals, who would you rather see them play NY or Tampa? 2. If your VHL player could be sponsored by a company or brand who would it be? 3. What is your favorite music album of all time?

Congrats Riga, good series.

Warsaw's Latvian sniper Girts Galvins played his first two career VHL playoff games yesterday and it was a special experience as he got to do it in his home country of Latvia! Many of Girts friends and family were at the 2 games vs the Riga Reign. The first game was a close one but saw Warsaw lose 3-1. Galvins had a solid game with 3 shots and a block in 20 minutes of icetime. Game 2 Girts came out flying and scored his first career playoff goal just 1:26 into the game, a partial breakaway where he roofed it over a sprawling Tobias Reinhart for his first goal, assisted by Zack Kissingler. Girts took 3 shots in the game in only 16:58 of icetime as there was a lot of special teams play and penatlies. Warsaw won the game 6-2 and tie the series heading back to Warsaw for games 3 and 4. It was a special experience for Girts to play a playoff game in his home country and one he will surely never forget.

Nice Game 2 Win for Warsaw!!

Coming into the league a couple seasons back as a new player I needed a lot of help figuring out what to do each week, tpe opportunities, how the league worked, etc. There was a lot to get comfortable with and I was a bit of a deer in the head lights. There were a couple people who really helped me my first season in various ways and I appreciate them greatly. My first GM's in the VHLM for the Las Vegas Aces @MubbleFubblesand @ajwllmsn were huge helps to me in my first season and not sure I'd still be here without them. They were always available and nicely answered all my noob questions, they even created a forum discussion thread for me to interact with the team as I am not a discord user. Mubbles spent countless hours talking with me about my player and discussing the sim, it was very helpful to a new member and I really appreciate all their time. They did a great job as GM for the team that season and are one of the main reasons I'm still here, they made sure my player had a good season and it got me hooked. Next people I'd like to thank are my GM's in Bratislava my 2nd season in the league @FrostBeardand @Shindigs who took the place of Mubbles and AJ as my go to people for questions and help as I was still pretty new and needed continued guidance on what to do, what was available as a 2nd year player, etc. They made sure I didn't miss any tpe opportunities and also put me in spots to succeed in the line up and I had another great season which I enjoyed, building on my 1st season. Can't thank them enough for all the time they gave helping me as a member. Also shindigs and I pm'd a ton about the sim and he chatted with me about sim trends and shared all his fancy stat analysis and graphs, I knew myself and the team was in good hands and it was fun to learn from him, much thanks. Now in the VHL I'd like to thank my current GM @dlambfirst for having the confidence to draft me 17th overall as a new member and secondly for all the help he's given me, again being available to answer my questions and also support me during what was kind of a tough rookie season for my player. He made sure I knew that my work and effort on tpe earning was not going unnoticed and it definitely helped me and kept me motivated. I'd also like to thank and give a shoutout to my teammate of 2 seasons now between two leagues @Scurvy it's been fun being on the same team in Bratislava and Warsaw and I always love seeing the sig I made you in your posts around the league. Thanks man. One last thanks to @Spartanwho denied one my pathetic graphic PT's early on and when explaining why he told me about pixlr website and that's what I've used since. It's been way better for graphics, they actually look decent now and I've enjoyed making them every week. Without him telling me about that website I'd probably still be making terrible graphics and getting them denied lol. So thanks for denying that one and being cool enough to help me find a way to get better and continue to earn tpe.

1. We clinched the playoffs! And to add on to that, we by-passed the wild card round, and straight to the real deal! Riga is our round 1 opponent. How do you feel we match up with them? Do we have a chance? Riga's to lose? Series prediction? I think we can definitely beat Riga, especially since we have a nativa Latvian in Girts Galvins on the team who will play great in road games in his hime country. Warsaw in 6. 2. How do you feel about the VHL playoffs as a whole? Is there a clear favourite? A team that you think will surprise everyone? I think Seattle looks pretty strong but honestly I think we are going to surprise some people and make a deep run! 3. Every single skater on our team scored a game winning goal this season. Kisslinger, Aberg, and Marner all tied for the team lead with 6. What does this say about our team? It says we are a group of clutch players and that's what you need in the playoffs! 4. Did you participate in theme week this season? Do you like the theme? Why or why not? I don't think I did, not sure I knew about it, hopefully didn't miss any easy tpe.. ? 5. What is the best flavour of Gatorade? If you don't know the exact name of the flavour, the colour works too Lemon Lime. Obviously. 6. Now to the real NHL playoffs, which two teams do you have making it to the finals? I'm thinking Tampa and Colorado. I picked Tampa Bay and Colorado in my bracket pre-playoffs so that's looking good at this point. Only thing that could screw it up is McDavid being McDavid but I don't see Mike Smith lasting through Colorado.

Girts Galvins - LW - Warsaw Predators Girts Galvins took the ice for the Warsaw Predators in Season 83 as a VHL rookie after being selected 17th overall in the S82 Entry Draft. Girts came into his rookie year with around 420 tpe, top 15 or so in the class and is now closing in on 550 at the start of the playoffs. It was an interesting year with the VHL moving to the new attribute system and I think this really effected Girts numbers in his rookie season. During his time in the VHLM and VHLE he was a scoring superstar, racking up over 75 goals through 2 seasons, 43 in the VHLM and 32 in the VHLE, however his rookie season in the VHL would see him only score 7 goals and he had a horrible start of only 1 goal in the first 46 games. To say his rookie year wasn't what he expected in terms of his production would be an understatement. He came into the season thinking he would be able to contribute and perhaps even challenge for rookie of the year, but he barely did anything on the ice despite having a good amount of tpe. Galvins was on the 2nd line for Warsaw with good linemates but still couldn't produce for some reason. He saw no powerplay time all season and averaged under 19 minutes a game which may have been a factor but he understood his role and had no problem with it. While it appeared many other rookies were playing close to 30 minutes a game and powerplay which was a big reason for their production on smaller rosters, Warsaw had 7 forwards so they had to split up the minutes between Girts and veteran Brian Moreau, which is understandable. That said, it was probably one of the reasons his goals and overall stats were lower than other rookies of similar tpe and he also had an absurdly low shooting % of 4.29% which didn't help. He did add 20 assists which isn't bad but it was definitely frustrating at times not scoring, he didn't let it get him down though and he kept working hard every week to improve. Team-wise Galvins and the Predators had a great season, so he was excited about that and while he wasn't producing much he also wasn't a liability out there, which definitely was a positive. He was also happy to see his fellow rookie and teammate Bran Payne having a great season as a top 4 defenseman for Warsaw and his ex teammate Bo Johansson from Bratislava having an awesome rookie season for Chicago. The Predators had a huge year as a team and finished top 4 in the league, top 3 in the dominant European Conference with a record of 46-21-5, good for 97 points. They earned a first round bye and have a good chance to go deep in the playoffs. It's possible Girts could finish off his rookie season with an exciting run to the cup but even if not it will be great to get some playoff experience. Overall while Girts Galvins rookie season was a disappointment stats-wise it was a great success team-wise, so he's happy about it. You have to bide your time and earn your opportunities sometimes and there's no question Girts did that in his rookie season. He looks forward to more opportunities and better production in his sophomore season while hopefully being able to contribute to Warsaw's continued success!

The Warsaw predators have officially clinched a playoff spot today after winning their last four consecutive games and 7 of their last 10! Warsaw has had a great season currently in third in the European conference with a record of 45–21-5 for 95 points and a solid +48 Goal differential! The Predators Have the fourth most points in the entire VHL and are now one of favorites for the cup. It’s been a fantastic season for Warsaw after missing the playoffs last year they could conceivably win the championship this year. Great job by GM Dlamb and company. Also Girts Galvins is up to 7 goals now in 71 games which is clearly the main reason for all their success!

After scoring only 1 goal, yes 1 goal in like the first 45 games, rookie Girts Galvins now has an incredible 4 goals in 64 games. That's right, he has scored 4 goals in about the last 20 games, which is virtual fire considering his pace over the first half of this season, he even scored the game winner in a 1-0 win the other day which garnered much fanfare around the league. Now with Galvins scoring a goal roughly every 5 games, the Warsaw Predators are the team to beat, no question. They've been on fire lately and were up to top 5 in the league as of a few days ago. However I think we lost a few since then and are now top 7 or 8 but still pretty awesome. With Galvins scoring every 5 games it makes them more dangerous in the playoffs because in a 7 game series he will probably score 1 time, which let's face it could be an overtime game winner or double overtime because Girts is clutch and does cool things. So watch out for Warsaw and Girts Galvins in the post season (if they make it which they should).

1. Warsaw is in a tight EU race with London, Prague, and Helsinki. Which team out of the 4 will be the 1 to miss the post-season when all is said and done? I think Helsinki will miss because Helsinki is stinky. 2. We currently have 3 players set to hit Unrestricted Free Agency at the end of the season - Bogdan Trunov, Brendan Marner, and Omi Aberg. What can we do to sway them to stick around in the Blue and Orange? Offer them lots of money and the sign-in to all Brian Payne's only fan accounts. 3. Are you in any affiliate sim leagues? Have you ever been in one? Is there anything other leagues do that VHL doesn't that you would like to see here? No the VHL seems fine the way it is. 4. What VHL team has surprised you, either positively or negatively, through ~60 games of Season 83? I think Warsaw surprised me, I didn't realize we were going to be this good, so it's pretty awesome. 5. Out of the 4 series remaining in the NHL Playoffs, which series do you find the most interesting? Calgary and Edmonton by far is the most interesting. 6. What is one thing you can't live without? Probably air, but I will go with food and water here.

1. We are definitely hot, it's hard to say what changed but I think we just started getting some bounces because we weren't far off before. Also dlamb probably did some magic with the strategies. 2. I think the MVP is obviously Girts Galvins because his refusal to score has allowed everyone else to score even more, so they are having great seasons! lol jk, I'd say it's a team effort but I'd probably say Kissingler. 3. I'd say Prague would be ideal because we can beat the crap out of them, No offense Prague. 4. CAR, TBL, EDM. 5. No plans besides spending as much time in air conditioning as possible. Maybe going on a few trips then back to AC. 6. Dr Pepper
