1. The VHL draft just concluded and London picked up a few prospects, what do you think would be a good way to introduce them to the team/city? Being one of the people drafted I'm certainly hoping its food related but if not I'd be totally okay with a new car. 2. Training Camps have opened this week, what part of training camp are you not excited for? Bag skating will probably make me cry a couple times. Seems like the absolute worst exercise. 3. Quickly! @Gustav has fallen down a flight of stairs and is unconscious, which teammates shoes are you making him smell to try to wake him up? Dil's shoes because they will probably have a strong smell of onion and spices so he'll get up and feel super hungry. It's science. 4. Off seasons can get quite boring for players, whats one thing you do to keep yourself entertained without hockey? Ball is life. Basketball and apparently spending extended times out in the forest without any sort of cell communication. 5. The team has ruled that @eagle_3450cannot be trusted to ride a motorcycle, which kind of vehicle do you think suites him the best? Get him a can-am spyder. He'd look like a lil goofy goober on one of those and I think it would fit him well. 6. Team ownership is considered creating matching, pink, team pyjamas. To add extra flair to it, they want a giant picture of an animal across the back. What animal do you think would best represent the London United? I want a butterfly or I want nothing. Give me that juicy couture vibes baby.

Draft weekend has come and gone to officially kick off the S85 offseason and for one highly touted draft pick, it was a strange one. Astro Singh was inaccessible for the entire weekend without a trace which had many General Managers from both the VHL and VHLE wondering, where the heck did this guy go? On Sunday night however, Astro was back and welcomed to his home with a mailbox full of mail, and voicemail full of messages. Astro had spent the weekend off the grid with no internet from Thursday to Sunday night with no idea that the VHL draft was coming up. He said in a statement, "I had no idea the draft was even this weekend?! I have a tough time knowing when anything is in this league so far so if anything exciting is happening I only really know when it happens. I want to apologize to any GMs that didn't get an answer from me beforehand, but I guess having it this way gave an advantage to GMs that contacted me right away and knew what I have to offer and what my commitment levels would be to their team."

After a much anticipated return, VHL85 presented by EA sports will make its return to the gaming shelves at a retailer near you. This year there is a surprise and limited version of the title where an up and coming star from the VHLM will be featured on their own cover. Who may it be? Well that is still in the works and up for debate as the EA sports labs have given no indication on who or when they are going to announce this cover athlete. Speculation around the league has been out of control but we are hearing from multiple sources that the cover athlete will not be a goaltender. This information narrows down the list as most of the top picks in this draft consists of goaltenders. No other information has been leaked at this moment however stay tuned in the coming weeks as we get closer to a release date.

VHL DRAFT USER GRADES With the VHL draft coming up, it is clear that there will be a huge shortage on the amount of quality forwards available. Don't get me wrong, there will and there always has been, diamonds in the rough in which no one expected to turn out to be a star. However, when we look into top ranked, sure fire, forwards that are a lock for long term success; there aren't many outside the top 5. With that, we will be taking an unconventional dive into the top 5 forward prospects of the S85 VHL draft. Most when doing a draft review would look into things like player stats or skills developed, however we will take a look into each of these player's managers and what I can gather from their profile on this forum. Here's how it will work. We will look at the top 5 TPE forwards in the draft and click on the user profile. Once I have reached the profile, I will have 60 seconds to gather as much information as possible and come up with a grade for each of these users/agents. The opinion given will be an unbias opinion of someone who knows very little about the league and it's current members. Lets start off by ranking the top 5 eligible forwards in this draft class. 1. Daniel Weaver, managed by @ThePerfectNut with 377 TPE 2. Henry Eagles, managed by @Greg_Di with 368 TPE 3. John Jameson, managed by @Frank with 303 TPE 4. Astro Singh, managed by @8Ovechkin8 with 263 TPE 5. Alfred Champagne, managed by @Anthique with 229 TPE Now that we have our pool of players, lets begin our scientific analysis! First on deck; @ThePerfectNut To start off, it looks like we have a member here who has been in the league for 3 full years. His reputation is 496, which ranks 3rd overall on the list, which seems to be fair for a relatively newer member. They have accumulated 1630 posts which is fairly active but they tend to be more calculated in their responses and do not spam the board with their presence. They seem to have an interest in anime and/or pokemon, which I assume is the same thing. Their username is a provocative one, that gets the people going, but also has high expectations as it has been proven unclear to this point what actually is "the perfect nut". Are we talking about the amount? The texture? the viscosity? It's usage on desserts? This is a mystery which remains to be seen and I feel like a member with so much mystery behind their username can not be trusted. Their last few posts however seem to be all business with them being point task related, so there is some trust to be regained here. With all this information in mind, I would rank this user an A- and a solid draft choice for any team willing to unravel the mystery of what the actual perfect nut means. Next lets look at; @Greg_Di Next we have a member who, like our previous member, has been apart of the league for 3 years. They however, have a reputation of 641 which ranks 2nd overall on our list all while posting 1266 times on the forum. When it comes to efficiency of posting, this member thrives. We can also see that their last posts are all TPE related. He is all business and looks to be motivated to be the top TPE earner in this class. When looking at the people that have recently viewed their profile, we can see a VHLM and Daniel Weaver amongst the group. We spoke on how this nut guy can't be trusted, we can only speculate why he was viewing his top rival in this draft classes' profile. We we evaluate his user name we can see that it is short and to the point. My name is greg, and my last name or middle name may possibly be Di. I approve of the simplicity here but this is an online forum and not a survey so some creativity to the name would be encouraged. Adding a random x or a 69 at the end could go a long way here, "greg". There also was a past member that went by greg in this league a while ago that created a lot of drama, so just for sharing the same name I may have to cut you points here. I would rank this user a solid A- because I have trust issues with anyone named greg. Other than that, I feel like any team who pick this player is getting a hard working individual who puts their head down and gets points. Then we have; @Frank Next we have another generic names individual with a pink text hotlink to their name. I'm not sure if they feel extra special with that title however we'll disregard it for the rest of this user review. This man comes in with a whopping 3750 reputation while accumulating 8098 posts over the course of 9 years. It is unclear to me based on his profile whether or not there was a break in this 9 year. We can see most of his activity is based on reacting to things around the forum and dropping random one liners on posts. I like the use of profile picture here promoting his player through what appears to be his favorite alcoholic beverage, Jameson. With this information I would think that "Frank" is a 16 year best people trying to look edgy with his friends because he's the only one that showed up to the party with "bRoWn LiQuOr". I would suggest he name his next player Richard Hennessy as an ode to becoming a man. Frank, like Greg_Di, could use a username spice up as well. I know 12 Franks, most of which are older middle aged Asian men, but I know 0 Knarfs. I'd think about it my friend. Overall I'd rate this generic name dweller a solid B+, but even with that I think Frank would be an absolute asset on any team he goes to, being a fun part of the locker room as well as representing team pride regularly, even if he drinks cheap whiskey. Here we have; @8Ovechkin8 Honestly, he just seems to be a boring ass Indian dude that ranks 4th in reputation with 235 with over 1400 posts in 9 years on the forum. He's had multiple gaps in activity but as of late seems to be solid with his point earnings. His username is probably the most indecisive 15 year old decision ever, back in a time where forum usernames were a part of your identity. When looking at his posts, most of them consist of point tasks, so he likes to get down to business but we can see some flashes of sass here and there which can make things interesting. Our draft team however rates him an F for having a weak-ass profile as well as a grade-school username but we did find that he has 1 follower in Frank, so he's got maybe an ounce of cool in him. He would still be a solid choice for any GM that is looking for a player to help in the locker room as well as get consistent earnings to help his team. And last but not least; @Anthique Lastly we look at the young blood of the group. He currently ranks last with a reputation of 70 with just 73 posts, however this just means he does not miss with any of his posts. He hails from Quebec, so I might need to dock him some marks there, however he makes up for it by having a username I can't pronounce. When taking a look at his banner photo, we can see that he has a need for speed and likes sport bikes. I'm more of a chopper guy myself, so I may need to dock you here. I do however, appreciate the completeness of his profile with his discord as well as other profile characteristics. Something strange I stumbled upon was that he has his recent visitors disables which makes me questions what kind of sneaky underground business is this man running and could he possibly be El Chapo. When looking at posts we see a mix of reactions and point task points which is a healthy mix for a member that has only been here for 2 months. While scrolling I also see he has written some posts in French which add to the confusion because El Chapo is Mexican. With all this in mind, I would rate this user an A+ based on the creativity of the username as well as the intrigue of him potentially being a Mexican drug lord posing as a French Canadian hockey lover. He would be a great addition to any team and a breath of fresh air to any locker room. He has the potential to be a multi-generational agent in this league! Hopefully this review serves it's purpose to give an unbias review on 5 highly touted users/players heading in a draft class where offence is sparse. I have outlined my science based opinion on each of these users based on my intensive 60 second research could find to provide you with the best possible user scouting report available today.

Alright hear me out, I'm a huge fan of trashy TV but it doesn't get any dumber and trashier than the Bachelorette. Actually it does, Love Island, Too Hot to Handle, Love is Blind and the Ultimatum are all 15 times worse but this is a good intro to terrible television. In this latest season they have two bachelorettes, which I think was the dumbest thing ever because they have no idea how anything works. Anyways, all the dudes on the show keep flip flopping between girls and I'm like... What do they expect? You can't just expect to find an Astro in a sea of guppies. Also Rachel is probably the most annoying person on this show. She complains she can't make connections but has cancelled every other group activity. WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS. Also Gabby's voice wants me to listen to chalkboard scratches on my Airpods. Anyways, thanks for reading this week's Random Thoughts Blog with Astro Singh. Have a great day and stay trashy my friends.

OUT OF THIS WORLD After 7 long years, one of the VHL's oldest member's and player managers has returned. A lot can happen in 7 years but he's back and ready start promoting his latest player, one that hails a similar last name to a VHL legend. For those members that weren't around in the early days, I'll start with how I started. I initially was introduced to the VHL through a website/forum called signaturesports.net. They are not alive anymore last time I checked however, at the time they ran one of the best EA, NHL GM mode simulators that could be found. After a recruitment campaign on that site, I decided to take my talents to the VHL where I could translate my simulation experience to a different program. With this I created my first player in S13, Jesse Jussal. This player was a mid-high level two-way forward that was a important piece to any team. Next, in S20 was Japinder Singh. With a little more experience under my belt, I built a defenseman and developed him with vital information I had obtained researching the simulation and how it works. This by far was the best player to come out of my agency. After that we have Troy Athera in S28. He was what I would call mostly a failed player. There wasn't a lot of motivation with the development of this player and he quickly fell off and became a filler player for most bottom level teams. Then came Godavari Yumalatopinto in S36. Godavari was a solid player all the way around. He was a solid point getter and was a top line player on most teams he was on. After Godavari, there was a 7 year break. In this break our agencies CEO had decided to go school and develop himself to be a profession out in the "real world", what ever that is. After school and a year acclimatizing to a high stress professional health care setting, the CEO has decided that he needed a creative outlet to help distract him from the rapid fire mentally strenuous lifestyle. This outlet comes in the form of graphics creation and fictional brain storming in a free space where I am not responsible for any other's wellbeing, a great change! Now, 50+ seasons and 4 degrees later, our agency has returned with Astro Singh; a player hoping to be a wrecking ball in this league. It remains to be seen how much the simulation has changed over the years and if old research will still be relevant in creating a player that can help his team become a dominant force within the league. The message that I have for the league with a season under my belt, is that I'm once again excited about building a player and building relationships in this league! I may not be that big troll I once was, or the guy that loves to spark conflict for fun while treading the line of being suspended at all times but rest assured I'm still game to raise some hell!!!

ASTRO SINGH SCOUTING REPORT When we discuss scouting, most people generally look into stats. How good is this player? Can they produce goals? What is their game like? However in this scouting review we will look into a lot more than just numbers so that each GM can get an idea of what and who they are getting with Astro Singh. Lets start with the basics. Astro was drafted 17th overall in the VHLM draft by the Saskatoon Wild. He finished the Season 84 with 38 goals and 34 assists for 72 points in 72 games. First we'll look into the cons: With Astro being relatively new to the game of hockey and how the league and its operating system works, Astro tends to take a little longer to adapt to the game and adjust his skill set to aid the development of his player. However, with his willingness to ask for help he is doing everything he needs to be doing to help bridge this gap in knowledge. Astro is a man of many talents, but sometimes that may lead him to be too busy for any additional socialization. Based on the long line of winners Astro has come from in past family members that have played in the league, Astro will have no issue integrating himself into any locker room however with his many professions that range from property management to health care, he may not be as active as his ancestors may have been in this league. Astro had an atrocious plus minus rating this season in the VHLM with a -34. Its a tough stat to have however it has triggered him to invest more into his defensive abilities and we feel that will benefit him in the long term. Now lets look at the pros: Astro comes from a family of players that range in ability. The most notable player being Japinder Singh, who is arguably a top 10 player ever in the VHL. So he has the knowledge and tools to make himself a dominant player in this league. Astro, when available, is a blast in the locker room. He will entertain banter and dish it out if need be. Older members of the league would recall his lack of fear of speaking his mind, all while having his teammates back til the very end. Astro is a loyal SOB. Some scouts are saying he would love to sign with one team long term, or perhaps his entire career so that he can be the face of that franchise. What is there not to love about a point per game player. Being so equal with goals and assists is a luxury in a league where balance can sometimes be forgotten. Lets not forget about a whopping 217 hits either. He will score on you, set his teammates up and then run you through the glass all in a 5 minute period and show no remorse.
