We are here with Christopher Murphy, a Left Winger from Massachusetts, who is hoping to be drafted to a VHL team in the upcoming draft. Chris, what would it mean for you to be picked by a VHL team?

Honestly, it would mean the world to me. Growing up dreaming of being a VHL player always drove me to be the best that I could be when I was playing in as a kid  and it would be a dream come true if I was drafted, regardless of the round.

That's good to hear! Now, how would you describe your playing style to the GMs of the VHL and to fans who haven't seen you play?

I would say that i'm what you would call a Power Forward, meaning I can play both the puck as well as the body. I am also not afraid to drop the gloves if the team needs a spark or if the team needs someone to step up to anyone on the ice that wants to cause trouble.

So you're not afraid to fight?

Yes and no. Of course fighting wouldn't be my first choice in certain situations, but sometimes it has to be done. I just do what the team needs, even if it means going up against a 7 footer who's over 300 pounds. If it helps the team win, it needs to be done. This being said, I can do more on the ice than just fight.

I see. Now, is their any team in particular that you hope drafts you?

Not really. I feel like I would fit in with any roster, and honestly, I just hope to get drafted! I feel that I could contribute to any team, although as a Boston kid, it be a bit weird playing for New York!

Now, not all drafted players go straight to the pros. How do you feel you would do in the minors?

Its tough to say, the VHLM teams have a lot of solid players and it would be a tough system to play in, but I do feel that I could do well in thereH, and hopefully get called up to the pros quickly, but that depends on how well I do and is up to the GM. But I do plan on winning a championship regardless of where I end up be it the minors or pro.

If you were a GM, what round would you draft a player like yourself?

FIRST, ha ha. But really, it is tough for me to say. But, if i were a GM, maybe a third or forth rounder. I am a good all around player, but like anyone could definitely get better. I can always be faster, and can always work on my shot. But its not up to me to decide when and where I get picked, but I do hope it is early

Well Chris, I wish you the best, and good luck where ever you land up.
    Thank you very much.

Will teams who would want to sign my player be asking for his services in this post or somewhere else?
