In the latest chapter of "rich people doing things to give each other more money", news broke from VHL headquarters this week that, beginning next season, eight of each team's 72 regular-season games will be viewable only on ESPN+, the paid subscription service which currently enjoys terrorizing the common fan's NHL experience.
VHL fans took to Twitter en masse to do what people on Twitter do best, and within minutes of the league's announcement, the relatively hockey talk on the social media site began to fit in with the general cesspool. "BRO I DONT HAVE THE MONEY FUCK OFF" said one reply to the league's post by a user named @xX_TITAN_FUCKER_69_Xx, a reply which received upwards of 680,000 likes at the time of writing of this article.
Regardless of fan reaction, the move is expected to generate significant revenue for both ESPN and the VHL, and investors have their eye on both. And, in entirely unrelated news, commissioner @bigAL recently bought a yacht. See you next week!
