  1. I'm up for that, except I don't actually know if you're telling the truth. I could be protecting the Mafioso every night or something. We could, I could also protect omg again or someone similar tonight. I'd rather keep it vague for now because otherwise I can't get as crusade-y as I'd like to.
  2. Then we have to wonder why they'd send someone else over there, something that I'm really not sure about. Anyway, time for @jhatty8 to follow through with his end of the deal.
  3. I didn't go anywhere--there were no claims worth protecting and I figured a town visit was more likely than a maf one.
  4. Also--while omg is not confirmed as town, this does confirm him as not mafia.
  5. Also, why don't we start with you since you're supposedly our Sheriff. Where were you last night?
  6. Lmao GET FUCKED MAFIA I'm the Crusader. @omgitshim you're welcome
  7. In the latest chapter of "rich people doing things to give each other more money", news broke from VHL headquarters this week that, beginning next season, eight of each team's 72 regular-season games will be viewable only on ESPN+, the paid subscription service which currently enjoys terrorizing the common fan's NHL experience. VHL fans took to Twitter en masse to do what people on Twitter do best, and within minutes of the league's announcement, the relatively hockey talk on the social media site began to fit in with the general cesspool. "BRO I DONT HAVE THE MONEY FUCK OFF" said one reply to the league's post by a user named @xX_TITAN_FUCKER_69_Xx, a reply which received upwards of 680,000 likes at the time of writing of this article. Regardless of fan reaction, the move is expected to generate significant revenue for both ESPN and the VHL, and investors have their eye on both. And, in entirely unrelated news, commissioner @bigAL recently bought a yacht. See you next week!
  8. Dark mode. I get terrible eye strain sometimes and it happens much less than it used to now that many things I use regularly (sim leagues included) have that option. Looks-wise, I don't care, but in terms of not having my eyes hurt bad enough that I feel sick to my stomach, there's a clear winner. That said, the EFL website used to have an issue for me where every time I clicked on something, the entire screen would flash white for half a second before it loaded in--it doesn't do that anymore (and I'm now inactive there), but when it did that it would make my eyes hurt after like 10 minutes of looking at the forum.
  9. Let's keep celebrating Quik's birthday anyway. Or we can celebrate GUSTAV'S birthday for no good reason (it's not today, don't get excited).
  10. I'm strategic, not an asshole. There's a difference. Anyway, I'm not about to start drama on D2... I find it weird that we only have one TI (or one anybody) coming forward, and it's a very shaky Sheriff claim. There's probably no Jailor at this point since nobody has claimed it and nobody has said they were jailed, so...is there anyone who would like protection tonight? I know a guy.
  11. To the mafia: if you picked Ricer last night because you felt he would be a good target, cool. If you picked him for the sake of meme killing him on N1 again, not cool. I hope it was the former and not the latter. Anyone find anything interesting last night?
  12. Did anyone else here find what they were looking for by just searching "Happy Halloween"?
  13. Alternatively, write about how you were FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY
  14. Who's to say I'm not?
  15. I'd say I maybe 70% know Spanish; decent general understanding of it but speaking and knowing it perfectly is on a whole other level and I've kind of hit a wall with it. So that's my #1. #2 would probably be Mandarin, for a few reasons... Some linguistic concepts I find really interesting that we just don't have in English. I'd love to be able to understand the writing system, as well as the whole tonality aspect to it (saying the same thing at different pitches can give it entirely different meanings). It's one of the hardest languages to learn for a native speaker of English. A lot of students and professors at my school are from China, and I've always felt that there's a huge culture barrier that tends to isolate international students and gives some profs an unwarranted bad reputation (my advisor is from China and has some of the worst RateMyProfessor ratings I've ever seen, with a lot just complaining about his accent, even though I have a much more positive connection with him than most others). It could be a great way to make some friends that I might not be able to make as easily otherwise. Just in general, there's a HUGE number of speakers worldwide (it's like another English!) and would be one of the most helpful to learn for business and everyday interactions.
  16. VOTE JERICHO for joining late
  17. Maybe I've just had too many that taste like cardboard. In my own experience it's not enjoyable.
  18. I'm a fan of both mashed and chips, but they have to be done well otherwise I'd rather just have super generic fries (something I don't care about one way or another). Never been a giant fan of baked and I do NOT understand why anyone enjoys eating the skins.
  19. I feel like @Beaviss has either done this or knows someone who's done this. Who is most likely to be elected leader of their country?
  20. What's your best VHL-related Halloween costume idea?

  21. For the week ending 10/31: 1. It is Friday, and Gustav is just now getting to the press conference. What have I been doing all week? Wrong answers only. 2. It's PLAYOFF TIME, and we're kicking off the wildcard round with a rematch of last year's run with Prague. When we win, how will you celebrate? 3. Regardless of how we do in the playoffs, what are your opinions on our regular season? 4. Press "@" and type the first letter of your username. Describe the first non-you person who comes up on the list who you recognize. 5. What's your favorite salty snack? 6. What's a cool landmark in your country that people from outside of it might not know about? @Berocka@Ricer13@efiug @KC15 @TheCHEESE @Ahma @PatrikLaine @FrostBeard @JardyB10 @tcookie @Banackock
  22. This is exactly what I did once, minus the last point. I'm in I guess
  23. Case in point: me being a shit GM but moving up pretty fast anyway because of the locker room experience Love seeing these types of articles and discussions happen, I've mostly spoken my mind on VHLM issues in my last article but it's cool to have new members' perspectives in the conversation as well.
