  1. Photoshop skills are going alright Needs work https://imgur.com/a/IG0HHiy
  2. My bad.... I just picked two teams should have done some proper research... What if the team existed but weren't playing in the VHL yet?
  3. 1) The season has come and gone, and we finished in 3rd place in the standings. Are you pleased with that? Pretty happy, would have preferred the 2nd or top spot but 3rd is a solid finish. 2) How does our team’s finish compare to your predictions/expectations at the beginning of the season? I was hoping for a top place spot but we played fairly well 3) How does your personal performance compare to how you thought you would do at the beginning of the season? I performed a lot better than expected, had a shaky first season with less than 10 goals and the same number of assists. This season changed completely with 36 and 37 respectively. Hoping to continue improving. 4) Our team’s top performer from a point’s perspective is Ryo Yamazuki II. How much of an impact does he have for this team? He is a solid player who gets lots of points, finds the back of the net often and knows how to pass the puck. 5) On the other end, our goaltender Virgil Ligriv has, with this season, achieved the franchise record in career wins (according to the records on the portal). Anything you’d like to say to our man in the back? Keep stopping shots like a demigod. 7) Our first matchup is against Halifax. In our seven games, we beat them 4 to 3. Do you think that will be the outcome of the playoff series? I think we can take the win quite easily, as long as we keep our heads on and stay calm.
  4. Not sure if this counts as historical but I tried. https://imgur.com/FJNDzHp
  5. 3) Speaking of playoff contention, there is currently a neck-and-neck race for the final playoff slot, between Philadelphia and Mexico City. Who do you think will take it? I'm going to guess Philadelphia might take it. 5) When you aren’t playing hockey, what do you like to do? Skateboard, Video Games, Web Development 6) Do you have a favorite cheese? I'm vegan, soooo vegan cheese I guess7) We are situated in third right now, only a point behind Las Vegas. We play them three more times. How important is it to take those games? Crucial, those wins should secure our second place spot9) With 15 games left, we stand at 36 wins. What do you think our final total wins will be? Hopefully 51, but I reckon at least 4510) In a shootout, do you prefer to shoot first or second? 2nd, gives me a chance to scout out the keeper and see what kind of style he's going for.
  6. https://imgur.com/a/PY6Oklr Used this to play around with adding noise and photo filters (the slight sepia tone) still learning, needs work hence why it's used as a VHL.com graphic (kinda like the trading card things)
  7. 1) We are coming off the back of playing Houston in four of the last five games. We split the series 2-2; are you satisfied with that, considering their current form? They are currently on top of the league, and are playing well I feel we might have been able to take an extra win as opposed to one of the losses if we played a little stronger.3) Speaking of close matches, we lead the league in overtime losses, tied with Philly with 6. What can we do to turn that around and take those points in the future? Work on our endurance mostly, we don't seem to be able to close out the games when they go those extra few minutes.4) Do you think that we will meet Houston in the playoffs? If so, in what round will it be that we knock them out? More than likely, I'm guessing we will meet them early in the playoffs and we will knock them out.7) Would you prefer to end the season by playing easy teams, building up a win streak and confidence, or by being challenged by the top teams in the league, and perhaps dropping a few? A mixture of the two would be excellent, don't want have too easy of a time but getting those few extra wins for confidence could prove vital.? Do you have any favorite teams in the VHL to watch? I've been following the Dragons mostly because I will be playing for them in the future so it's nice to see how they are doing.10) In the VHLM, it looks like one of the two big scorers from Las Vegas will take it. Graves or Tates, who is your pick? Or will there be a surprise coming to shock the league? I'm guessing Graves.
  8. What do we do if we have already written similar PT's? Also how much are each of these worth?
  9. In addition to the graphic I created here is a little rundown of the Red Rock Cave, the new home of the DC Dragons. With a capacity of 18,500 the new stadium is looking pristine, the regular seats are all padded with pillows, that have a nice rubber layer in order to help with spillages. Feel free to help yourself to one of the many food and drink stands available within the arena, or take a tour of the Dragons Memorabilia and Stats lounge where you can see live leaderboards of our all time highest scorers, most hits, longest time spent in penalty box and much more! With extravagant VIP areas complete with hockey puck cake, in a variety of flavors and Stanley Cup champagne flutes., feel like spending a little extra on your VIP ticket? Bump it up and meet the players a few hours before the game, go on a walk through the locker room and get to know pre-game rituals of all your favorite stars Of course no hockey rink is complete without a giant graphic in the center of the ice containing the Dragons expertly crafted logo. This new rink is expected to see thousands of incredible hockey games played over the course of the Dragons career, the entire establishment and of course the team look forward to welcoming you to the new home.
  10. 3) Perhaps not alarm but definitely a something we need to turn around and reclaim our top spot. 10) Hopefully a small sample size, only time will tell. The fact we stretched one to OT shows it's a close matchup. 1) If you're talking about the 3-2 loss to Vegas, the goalie saved 18 out of 20 shots he had a solid game. 7) Currently I'm at the top of that list, hoping to keep the puck finding the back of the net and stay just ahead Ryo and Tormund. ? This 8 becoming a smiley is driving me insane... Otherwise I'd say Lawn and Parkey are a solid pair of defenseman. 5) Always have to support my own team, plus our season has been pretty solid. 9) They seem to be getting goals on us, they just can't keep the puck out of their own net. Both teams need to work on stopping goals against.
  11. 175 Vancouver Wolves @ Riga Reign 176 D.C. Dragons @ New York Americans 177 Toronto Legion @ Helsinki Titans 178 Prague Phantoms @ Malmo Nighthawks
  12. 1. We're piling up a few wins now, is this a good or bad thing for the franchise? Wins are always good, depends on if the team are trying to be stealthy and lay low this season. 2. We've lost our first two matchups against our fellow expansion team in Prague, how do you feel about that? An annoying start to be honest, would have been nice to come out on top against the other expansion team. 3. Your GM recently made a minor move to bring in goaltender Pouta and defenseman Drumm from Vancouver, who won this deal and why? By the looks of things so far, grabbing Pouta was a great move. 4. If you had to relocate one team from the EU conference to the NA conference and vice versa, who would you move and where would you move them? Moving a Canadian team to the US would be quite funny. 5. Does your player have a pregame routine? Basic stretches and making sure he is relaxed 6. How do you feel about your player's VHL/VHLM season so far? A huge improvement over last season, already doubled his goals and nearly his assists.
  13. This week on VHL.com we are going to talk about the 2 fresh new teams starting in the VHL the DC Dragons and the Prague Phantoms, it appears to have been a shaky start for both teams with the Dragons sitting at 12th and the Phantoms just above them in 11th both teams only securing a single win at the time of writing which is not a good sign for the 2 new teams, though it is expected the teams are brand new meaning the coaching staff, players and organisation in general are all still experimenting with how to play and run the teams, the players need to be allowed time to gel and build a team chemistry/locker room environment that is comfortable and progressive for not just the players but the coaches as well. I can see both teams being a force to be reckoned with after having time to build the teams. Prague securing their 1st win against the Riga Reign securing a solid 3-1 victory, with the goals spread evenly amongst Laughton, Draven and Perrin. The Dragons first victory however was slightly less decisive win at 3-2 against the Calgary Wranglers however they had to claw their way back after letting in a shot from Tyler Barabash, they tied the game thanks to Mikko Aaltonen up only to have Leph Twinger find the back of the net again. The 2nd and 3rd period were a different story however with only 2 goals being scored both by the Dragons allowing Aaltonen to secure himself a nice hat-trick in DC's first win. I look forward to seeing how both teams progress throughout the season.
  14. 1. We've started a little rough for the season, were you expecting any better from the squad? Expected from a new team, they need time to build chemistry. 2. If you were GM of the Dragons for a day, what is the first thing you would do? Fill out the empty roster spots and work on team building exercises 3. Which is more important to you; team success or personal success, and why? A good combination of the two, if the team is succeeding then it is likely I personally am succeeding 4. If you could re-design any logo in the VHL or VHLM, which would you pick and what would you change it to I'm not a fan of the Riga Reign logo 5. Who is winning the Stanley Cup this year? I follow the ducks so going to go for them. 6. Is there any NHL or VHL player that you're modeling your play after? Ducks RW - Jakob Silverberg
  15. We have an excellent start to the season for Mac, before we delve into that though we are going to talk about his first season in the VHLM, after moving out to the States from the UK, Mac got settled in Minnesota and enjoyed his pre-season exploring the local area and training hard before he started. Which brings us to his first seasons stats, not incredible though expected from a brand new player, he used the season to climatize himself to the league and build upon his knowledge of the game, the change from an amateur team in the UK to the VHLM was a bit of a shock to the system however he is more relaxed and still enjoyed playing the game all season despite low stats, all they seemed to do was make him more determined to improve. Looking into his stats a little more specifically we can see that he managed a grand total of 7 goals, over the course of 72 games a pretty measly stat to be honest with himself, 4 of which though were key game winning goals securing a solid victory for his team when finding the back of the net. He looks to improve this stat through hours of on and off ice training in order to ensure he can find the back of the net more regularly. As well as 7 goals he managed 7 assists, sliding the puck nicely to a teammate allowing them to score. And here we go with an excellent start to his 2nd season having played 12 games at the time of writing and securing 8 goals already including 2 game winners, surpassing his goal stat for last season with ease, which obviously he is ecstatic about and is looking forward to racking up more goals as the season progresses, still making sure to set up his teammates to take a shot on goal with 7 assists he is making a good impact this season so far. Seems as though all that dieting, training and spending large amounts of time on the ice has been paying off the young brit looks to have the beginning of what could be a rather impressive season alongside his teammates of the Minnesota Storm. Moving on to his VHLM team the Minnesota Storm who are having a decent start to the season sitting comfortably at third place with 9 wins, 2 losses and an OT loss leaving them with a 19 points after 12 games. They have had some interesting games this seasons including a decisive 6-0 win over the Saskatoon Wild and an incredible 7-1 victory over the Ottawa Lynx, obviously it isn't all wonderful games such as the one against the Lynx they also have suffered a 2-1 loss against the Yukon Rush. Minnesota seem to have started the season consistently scoring a good amount of goals and completely shutting their opponents out, I look forward to seeing a good season worth of hockey from the young VHLM team.
